If you have even the slightest interest in Buddhism, Eastern teachings and religions, you have probably noticed all the parallels Kishi is drawing in the series.

Firstly, I'm not a fan of any particular pairing, but the only meaningful (not necessarily romantic) recognition that can happen is between Sasuke and Naruto. If Kishi decides to pair either of them up with a girl that's fine, but it's undebatable that they evolve spiritually only around each other.

What I want to point out here, is the New Age concept of Twin souls or Twin flames, and this relationship is closely related to the Yin/Yang one, which we have seen was attributed to Naruto and Sasuke on numerous occasions in the manga.

This relationship consists of "The Chaser" and "The Runner".

"The Arguments and Fights cause a lot of confusion between twinflames as they are usually not spiritually enlightened and don’t consciously know what is happening.

The Runner tries to escape all the confusion by running away from his twinflame. He feels like he’s losing control of himself and just feels kind of irritated for no reason. He tries to avoid the twinflame, and might suddenly end the relationship in a very abrupt manner.

The other twinflame, now takes the role of 'The Chaser'. He gets deeply hurt and shocked by the unexpected behaviour of the Runner, and tries to 'get him back'. The Chaser is driven by the inner knowing that everything will be all right at some point. He tries to get the Runner to resolve the issues and does all that he possibly can. This creates an emotional chaos which gets very overwhelming for the Chaser.

Then, the Chaser comes to an extremely painful point where he shatters completely, which ultimately leads to enlightenment. Then comes the waiting period for him. Thats when the Runner is still running and the Chaser has realized the reality of this Sacred relationship. The Chaser has to wait for the Runner to come back, if they are completely out of touch or if the Runner is not willing to talk or listen.

The Runner tries to move on in life, but ultimately realizes that the twinflame IS his life. His enlightenment happens when he receives a 'soul-shock' when the Chaser finally gives up and, in a way, walks out of his life.

That's when both of them reunite."

Kishi certainly seems to be following a similar pattern, and I didn't draw any conclusions from this article alone. Many Eastern philosophies mention this kind of sacred relationship, and they have obviously influenced Kishi as well.

Naruto and Sasuke will come together in the end, but will Kishi make them a pairing?

Thoughts? :)

Wasn't that foreshadowed since day one?

Sasuke obviously has no interest in girls, and naruto obviously can only think about sasuke. The outcome is obvious as well. Both will be together in the end.

This is one of the best posts I've seen here in a while. Also, I think that more people should adhere to (or at least learn about) Eastern principles/teachings. Eastern views on life and living could create a much more peaceful world :)
