You could be right, but sharingan isn't really a sensor dojutsu...it predicts and copies movement, hence the name "Copying Wheel Eye".

sharingan is a sensor type because in part 1 we saw itachi could see sasuke was behind him he sensed him

do you remember the moment after naruto met Kushina and defeat Kurama? i think that's when naruto achieved a few of his moms & dads skills... somehow absorbed that "left over chakra" into his own powers (?) because first thing that happened after he left the battle with Kurama, he sensed Kisame inside the sword... and when Kisame tried to flee, he used Flying Thunder God Technique without a kunai/dagger and sprained his ankle.

i'm not sure though... it's just a guess! but i think he got it from his mother / father at that moment... or anything that has to do with the battle against Kurama, maybe he got it from Kurama now that he controls him & opened the seal?
