There's more fanservice than the time before the timeskip, yes, but I think it's a bit stupid when you're only bashing the females of the crew. They're not the only ones who're showing more skin now - it's the same with Luffy, Zoro, and even Usopp. Our Strawhat captain has started to wear his shirt open, Zoro is now taking off clothes in battle, and Usopp shows off more muscle. The only difference between them and the girls is that the guys get more time to shine. And then again, with the exception of Usopp, the guys of the crew are more the fighter types. It could be that Oda wants to show that the Strawhats have more freedom now with loose clothes and all, but I don't know.

There has barely been a hundred chapters after the timeskip, and people are already complaining about the lack of spotlights for the females. It seems like people forget that both Nami and Robin only had one solo fight each before the timeskip. Nami had her moment with Kalifa of CP9, but nothing before or after that. Robin got the chance to fight during the Skypea arc, but nothing more after she joined the crew. In almost every single arc, the girls have always fought together with the other crewmates, just like they do now after the timeskip. Just be patient, and Oda will eventually give them more time to shine.

Now to the other discussion in this thread, about overused character traits. I think you're asking for too much if you want Zoro to suddenly get a sense of direction. Or if you expect Sanji to mature after spending two whole years on the island of transexuals. It's just who they are, and I personally don't think it's time for them to change just yet. There's still a decade's time for Oda to get the chance to develop their characters more. Like most people, I like their characters and don't want them to change, but maybe I'm just blind with character love.

Nami is also cool although I do agree on the clothes thing.It was cool at first but its getting kinda tiresome

Sanji will probably mature after/during a Yonkou fight when he is faced with a hard decision and will have to break his own rule of not helping a woman in need or something

Generally people on OP don't wear too many clothes. There are so many characters that are shirtless that it's something
common at this part. The thing with Nami and Robin is that Oda tries to draw the attention on their exposed parts (Sanji commenting that "they moved" and faeries coming out of Robin's breast). So when it comes to moments that the only panel time they have is a random fanservice scene it bothers me.
As for Sanji pervyness, without it, it wouldn't be Sanji and he wouldn't be unique or have something different that distinguish him from the others. All strawhats have a characteristics that maybe too much, but this goes on from the start of the series and it's part of Oda's process to develop a character. So no, it doesn't bother me. His pervyness is also helpful from times to times (he always knows when a girl is in danger, haki+pervyness= OP CoO )

Nami also fought Ms. Doublefinger on Alabasta arc.
Generally, their roles have been more of the supportive fighters that don't go on solo fights but I feel that in Dressrosa Oda has changed their characters a little bit, not in a way I like. Mostly Robin, who is known for her calmness and cool personality, lately she always gets caught by surprise by fairies coming out her breast. In this arc so far, I believe Oda changed her base characteristic, which makes her another person :/
Nami is a known coward but I would expect her to at least try an attack on DD or try to escape with the Sunny instead of staring and screaming. But then again, this is not something very contradicting to her character.
Overall, I like both females of the SH but I want them to have a bigger role n fights and battles, even if only as support.

Yeah, Sanji was on an Okama island for 2 whole years, full of men disguised as women or transexual or whatever, it's only natural for him to have pervy moments all the time atleast for now.

Yup, Oda does show their breasts, specially Nami, but Robin isn't that much like Nami.

Even Sanji's same old pervish crap is getting dull to me now. Like for example, Jiraiya had his moments.. it was all cool.. Roshi had his moments.. it was all cool. With Sanji the element of "pervyness" is overused to me.

To me Sanji's pervertness is always cool. I don't get bored of his moments of perviness. Sanji is a natural born perv. He's going to remain pervert till his grave. His perviness after 2 years got stronger for being tortured for 2 years of training, being chased by okamas, no single woman to see. He deserve Nami's body by all means. He even cried when a mermaid tried to get him into pool, thinking he doesn't deserve this happiness. I feel him. I even envy him. The man needs woman's love. Even the strongest man needs a woman in his life.

Personally, I believe Oda should've matured Sanji a more and lessened his "perv" moments. So when they did happen, they were pretty comedic and not annoying.

Sanji can be serious when he sees a moment that there is no room for perviness. You just don't understand him.

Why he bothered himself so much to save Kinemon?
Why he gave food to Gin and Kreig?

He maybe a perv god. He may insanely love women. He may hate men...

but he understand when and where to be serious and cares for others. Not only women.

I was expecting some badass outfit change in regards to Robin, but just nami with black hair so far.

Its like Luffy is going the same way. Instead getting more adultish looking, hes looking more like a kid, and has even shrinked in height. WTFF

Only ones that grew for the best (character design) was Zoro and Ussopp (but then the whole "no direction sense" got overused), i'm like come on Oda baby you can't do that to someone who is a elite swordsman. Ussopp looks pretty badass now ahah.

Fishman island wasn't so bad since she had the Skirt... But I mean she's basically been wearing dresses the whole time.


Dressrosa has been very cruel to Robin... Making her show really odd reactions she's stoically known to be calm under... And the fan service... And the fan service.


I'd definitely agree with Ussop... But part of me misses the more Pirate looking Zoro as opposed to Samurai Zoro. Still it's a boss design.



Brook.is also saddening. I preferred the off set his gentleman look had with his perverted side. Now he's basically every definition of corrupted rock star lol.




But yeah, I was expecting something like the New World poster that has basically everyone of worth in OP where she had the blue and black stripped shirt and the pants....clothes in general is preferred.

I like Robin but lately her fights have been boring and to me its coz of the grappling style she employs(look at her fight in fishman island when her and her clone get down and dirty), i just think it doesnt suit her beauty. Though lately Oda has kinda gone overboard with showing skin and awkward moments with the female charecters.
