Earlier I made the statement that Toneri beats just about everyone in the NV except for Naruto, Sasuke, Obito, Madara, Kaguya, Hagoromo, Hamura, Indra, Asura, and Momoshiki. Then some dude was like "Yeah... no". Now this was just one recent incidence, but overall I still notice that people still severely under-rate Toneri just because of the method by which he was defeated (which is stupid since he only had a movie instead of manga chapters and therefore didn't have time for a long drawn out battle that would last for chapters. Besides, it's not like he died from the punch. Heck, Momoshiki absorbed Kinshiki and still died from a rasengan. Toneri only got damaged by the punch, anyway I digress)
The point is, people focus way too much on how these movie villains are defeated and not enough on their actual arsenals. I mean come on, truth seeking ball alone wrecks a large majority of NV since most characters don't have senjutsu, rikudou power, taijutsu that is on the level of 8 gates, or a space-time technique that is capable of warping the balls away like how Minato did with Madara's truth seeking balls (and these are the only known counters for truth seeking balls). This doesn't even account for golden wheel reincarnation which cut the moon in half (even if you say the moon was hollow, it was still the most destructive massive scale feat we've seen in the manga besides infinite tsukuyomi and dimension busting gudoudama), and it also doesn't account for the tenseigan's gravitational powers or Toneri's ability to make things like tornadoes with his truth seeking balls. This is why I'm issuing a challenge.
Name someone besides the following characters that could beat Toneri:
Naruto
Sasuke
Obito
Madara
Kaguya
Hagoromo
Hamura
Indra
Asura
Momoshiki
The above characters are off limits. Everyone else is fair game. Personally, here are a few characters that I think may have a slight chance:
Hashirama - since he has sage mode. He may stand a chance, but even his strongest jutsus like shinsuusenju would probably get destroyed by golden wheel reincarnation. If it can wreck the moon then it can easily wreck Hashirama's golems.
Kinshiki - since he is an Otsutsuki. He has shown to be roughly even with Sasuke in kenjutsu and he was strong enough to cut down a shinju. I always debate to myself about whether or not he is rikudou level because we have not gotten any confirmation of whether or not Kinshiki and his chakara weapons have senjutsu or rikudou chakara. We at least know he can fly, and we know that absorbing him was enough for Momoshiki to awaken a 3rd rinnegan eye and to trun all of his rinnegan eyes purple. Therefore he might have a shot.
Kabuto - since he has senjutsu and some pretty good techniques. They don't seem like they'd be very effective against a flying opponent with a chakara mode and truth seeking balls though.
Orochimaru - essentially same as Kabuto
Minato - since he has sage mode. He doesn't have very many offensive attacks though
Jiraiya - due to senjutsu
Nagato - due to rinnegan and certain techniques
Itachi - His genjutsu may work (that is a big may). Then of course there's that yata mirror hype. Everything else in his arsenal gets negated by truth seeking balls
That is it. The characters I just listed are those who I believe have a shot, but still likely get over powered by Toneri.
