Lets consider only the fact that we know.

-Pain is a formal leader of Akatsuki
-He obeys Madara
-He has his own goals, which he most probably hides from Madara
-Madara told him "failure wont be accepted"
-Pain failed
-Failure of Pain wont be accepted by Madara
-Madara should punish Pein


-Pein is casting some jutsu which is not aimed at harming Naruto


Assuming Pein knows that he is punished or lets say DEAD anyway what can he do for Naruto? What can he do? He entrusts his whole life and his whole Pain to Naruto.
What he was trying to achieve and what his best friend Yahiko was trying to achieve - now this passes to Naruto. he entrusts him with the mission of his life.

I think the power transfer looks quite reasonable. However, I doubt it is possible.
Which leads to second conclusion I can come up with - the suicide jutsu
No, seriously, peins mission was to bring peace to the world, yet he failed - reason to live? Ah yeah, he has Konan to protect.
So then he'll ask naruto to protect Konan?

I agree. However a suicide jutsu is unpractical. I think if suicide was the case, Nagato would force a fight with Naruto and purposely lose.

I believe that the seal he is making is used to "Release" a jutsu... like genjutsu, or whatever technique he uses that giant creature for.

Well I dunno that in order for the Rinnegan to appear the user must transfer to the end user. I strongly believe that he will use a transfer jutsu and give him the Rinnegan and is the only way he might be able to equal the power of the Sharingan. However this transfer will come @ a high price "Death", just like Granny from the sand did with Gaara (the revival tech). That's what I believe will happen in the next chapter.

Yeah but Nagato has Konan to protect. If he dies, there will be noone to protect her because Naruto is concerned with Konohas reconstruction and so on. ANd i doubt vilagers will accept KOnan as their ally >.<

Pain will kill himself because he won't be able to handle the awesomeness swirling within Naruto. Thus, bringing the arc to an abrupt end.

nagato's last action would be to give naruto some kind of jutsu for a couple of reasons. One is, he would have probably realized J-mans insight about him (to bring peace) (nagato) via Naruto. You see I think nagato's plan has ended when he faced naruto. Upon defeat, real peace can be attained via Naruto if he becomes strong enough.

I think he will try to make that bijuu power eatter statue disappear in another dimension. I don't recall if Madara was with the others while they were extracting the 8 tails. Considering that space/time jutsu ... it doesn't really matter now.

Probably Nagato will try to do it, but it won't succeed ... either madara kills him or he dies by fatigue.

I know that many readers don't want Naruto to get the Rinegan, but he's no match for Madara. I have doubts regarding if Naruto is now stronger than Sasuke. I think Sasuke is stronger.

Naruto needs a space/time jutsu or a counter for that and a antisharingan. It's not only regular Sharingan now, Sasuke has: Amaterasu, Susanoo, Yata mirror and, probably, Totsuka's Sword.

It doesn't matter if Naruto will finally control the kyuubi chakra. He needs more than that. That will help him fight better, but it won't matter against those 2 Uchiha.

The next 10 chapters will enlighten us. We will finally have the chance to understand were is the story going. I've said 10 chapter, but I don't count the recover period that might be shown in the manga.
