Of course it is, the only people who can beat Nagato are edo Madara, current Tobi and Kabuto with edos no one else really.
Laughing at the people who say Nagato accomplishments are nothing compared to Madara and Hashirama, for one thing Nagato worked in the shadows most of the time and was less known by the outside world, just look at what happened when he decided to step out of the shadows and has soon has he did he destroyed Konoha in one strike Boooom.

you fail man. It was stated that hanzo didnt practice hadnt practiced his jutsu for years. Oh and as seen in the manga, naruto was stronger than him. you cant judge a character based on raw power only... we have seen countless battles that proved that raw power loses to intellect... Look at edo Nagato achieving all his so called `great' powers but loses becuz Itachi was able to assess the situation....
Hashi has alot of power and strength and i believe he has knowledge of secrets which we have not seen yet
A rinnegan noob was controlling Nagato and it took a team of NarutoItachi and Bee to beat him.Otherwise Itachi would have been caught in the sphere and be delivered to Kabuto.

Nagato Isn't an Idiot. He is not just all Pure power.
Also Edo Nagato was under Kabuto's controll, Itachi only had him due to him being unable to move, Plus getting help from the two strongest jinchuuriki.

From what we are seeing from Edo Madara in the manga and what he says abt hashi, I would say hashi was meant to be more haxxed than any ninja we have seen in action, so far

I believe that Nagato saw Tobi has an asset rather then his leader, though Tobi did manipulated him but still regardless Nagato had something against the village for killing his parents so he had no problems going there.

Yeah notice Tobi was always suggesting things 'now is the time to go to Konoha' doesn't sound like much of a order to me.It sounds like a friend or Teacher giving you the best time to strike

To an extent I agree with you. But I have a question...
You said Nagato wanted to destroy konoha from the start but do you think that could have been avoided if Tsunade didnt provoke him?
I blame Tsunade for what happen to the village because she could have taken better precautions and more importantly, I think she should have avoided confrontation with Nagato when he was abt to go to the toad mountain to find Naruto
Exactly man,Tobi and Nagato were allies (not denying that tobi manipulated Nagato), and I got the feeling that Tobi was slightly holding back from his usal speech patterns I mean after Nagato died did he truly started insulting Nagato left and right.

Nagato is stronger than hashirama and madara when it comes to ninjutsu only.
Everything else hashirama and madara have in their possession therefore they would be around the same level. Would however say that nagato is strongest out of the three, followed by hashirama than ems madara, but the gap isnt that wide. Do however believe hashirama will beat nagato in a fight

The moment they killed his parents Konoha was doomed... i think this was all a trick by Madara though to make him want to destroy konoha when he was older and who better then someone with 30 years of Rinnegan experience and Uzumaki chakra reserves
Tsuande just provoked him i guess... Madara probably would of slapped her and lectured her about being weak
