Yes he could the genjustu stops his body not his mind itachi and sasuke was under the same genjustu yet itachi was able to use tsykiyomi

But back then he used that to break the genjutsu. But then whats the point of genjutsu? It enters the opponent's mind and affects his / her 5 senses and makes the opponent hallucinate-kind of....look at naruto when Itachi used genjutsu on him when they met with kakashi chiyo sakura...etc.Naruto thought he was fighting Itachi but actually he was just standing...and when sasuke and Itachi fought Zetsu remarked that they were just standing in one place but it seemed as if they fought.

Yeah but itachi's genjustu>>>tayuya's her's is pretty good but people are still able to use techs in reality like shikamaru's shadow or itachi and sasuke dojustu genjustu so nagato using a dojustu tech should still happen in reality

Sennin mode strenghtens genjutsu,taijutsu and ninjutsu as well. Thye'll have a stronger effect making it harder to escape.

Kabuto knows nearly everything about the Rinnegan by studying about it with Orochimaru. So he will know how to counter the majority of Nagato's Jutsu high difficulty battle.

Fukasaku quite clearly said Sage chakra improves Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu.
It really is logical: Senjutsu chakra>Ninjutsu chakra. So anything using chakra will be improved in Sage Mode as you use a superior quality of chakra.
Taijutsu is improved with Sage Mode for very obvious reasons.

I'm with you here. I can see Nagato countering with a Shinra Tensei though, but if he's not mobile he'll be wide open for a second round during the five second window.

Sure Nagato could 'fly' away while he's, assumingly, midair after using the right Shinra Tensei... but when he lands, its the same issue again. Only difference being Kabuto will be wiser and may re-arrange the landscape accordingly.

Nagato could have won that fight and stopped edo tensei WAY easier than itachi and wouldn't have had to give a up a eye or needed help nor really struggled.

Are you sure? It showed Kabuto injecting himself with all that DNA (you can see the White Snake on top). Orochimaru was already sealed so that wouldn't make sense either, as he did use his White Snake during the fight. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
