Nagato vs itachi??

ok...if nagato and itachi fought, who would win?? these are the circumstances--nagato at full health, which means he's not in a wheel chair and he has full chakra and its an open field..for itachi he's in full health and his ms is in full health..its an open grass field and its jux one on one to the death..

dis is a quick discription of both characters--->

itachi......

-Itachi was shown to be an incredibly powerful ninja, as demonstrated by his ability to easily defeat Deidara, Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and Orochimaru
-became an ANBU Captain at age 13
-Itachi was a master of all the Uchiha clan's techniques
-His speed was such that neither Sasuke nor Kakashi, who are both very adept at using the Sharingan, could follow his movements in either case.

It's almost impossible to judge Nagato's stats if he had trained his original body from the start. Would the Shinra Tensei delay also effect the abilities to use the other powers during that time etc. Nagato's greatest trick is making the opponent think they are fighting 6 bodies of himself which aren't him. Also on that last bit. Nagato also praised his former teacher so it's merely flattery and not conclusive. I don't see how Itachi would have known.

I believe it would be an interesting fight but overall I think Nagato would have it in the bag. It would be awesome to see though.xD

Hmm... This is tough considering Itachi and Nagato are my two favorite characters... I think the evidence is inconclusive though because, as others have said, Nagato's main trick is making his opponent think they're fighting six of him.

i don't think he'd be able to repel amaterasu as it appears on wherever he looks rather than shot out...
also jiraiya trapped 3 by genjutsu so presumably tsukoyomi would help lots, and susanoo would be ultimate def and attack however it isn't known whether the fat one would just be able to absorb both susanoo and amaterasu XD

it's a tough one to decide cos both are extremely strong :/

obviously the sharingan lets him judge the opponents moves and that's why it makes it more difficult... without it he wouldn't stand a chance of killing any bodies >_>

Oh I didn't read the list properly. It says Six Paths of Pain. I mean in wheelchair state I would've given it too him but a heathly Nagato? He would've done the same thing but not suffer from Chakra exhaustion that quickly and still be able to use all those abilities as a backup w/o being handicapped. It's overkill.

Preta or Deva Realm can nullify it. We've seen by it's 0% killrate that it doesn't burn particularly quick. Even Gaara could protect against it because it didn't appear on him but was moving towards him. Tsukoyomi hasn't been shown to work on three oponents at the start. Frog song is powerful because it's AOE genjutsu and doesn't require eye contact making it extremely hard to defend against. Pain can fight Itachi w/o looking directly into his eyes with multiple bodies and Tsukoyomi will be wasted as the pain body can be revived by either Naraka realm or Nagato himself plus the effects of the MS leaves an opening to get blindsided by one of the paths. Chibaku Tensei can be taken care of Susanoo by crushing it through the force of tonnes of rocks or cause Itachi to be drained of chakra from overusing Susanoo. Nagato did state he could make it bigger then the one that he showed in the manga.

Amaterasu can be absorbed....... AMATERASU= CHAKRA JUST LIKE KATON JUTSUS but whats the trick here? IT WILL KEEP BURNING FOR 7 DAYS but wait WE ARE SEALING IT! Just like Jiraiya did...... AND DID IT KEPT BURNING?? NO!!

Let's move on.....

Tsukuyomi..... NAGATO WEAKNESS= GENJUTSU..... When Jiraiya used his frog song ONLY 3 BODIES OF PAIN appeared WHY NAGATO DIDN'T APPEAR?? simple because Jiraiya wasn't targetting Nagato, BUT THE THREE BODIES (petra, animal, human) and why asura, naraka path did not got trapped if they were hearing the thing too? THIS PROVES THAT JIRAIYA TO TRAP SOMEONE IN THE GENJUTSU HE HAD TO TARGET THEM...
AND WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY WITH THIS??
simple.....
Frog Song= Area of Spell and Tsukuyomi= Single targetting because the eyes sh!t
so if Itachi uses Tsukuyomi he's practically targetting only one pain not all UNLESS HE TARGETS THE REAL PAIN (NAGATO)

Susanoo= Susanoo is a concept that we can debate, but not because it steals souls, but for the reason that its attacks are like that of a BIG GIANT...... BUT WHAT HAPPENS HERE?? pain's multi-summoning+gedo mazou that buy pain/nagato WHATEVER!! to release chibaku tensei upon a fighting to the end itachi AND REMEMBER....
ITACHI does NOT have "BIG" amounts of chakra
PAIN do HAVE this "BIG" amount of chakra

now.... let's move to the basics

itachi's ninjutsus vs pain ninjutsus

itachi can copy pain ninjutsus but remember that certain shinobis when they are pro enough they don't even need to do hand signs right?? THAT COMES WITH PRACTICE...
how is itachi able to copy pain's ninjutsus if he does not do any hand signs??
