Nagato VS Itachi

Itachi landed 2 Technical killing blows on Nagato before he got the chance to use CT.

There is no proof that Itachi could or couldn't destroy CT on his own. The way the manga portrays it, we see a calm and cool headed Itachi teaching Naruto a lesson about Shinobi skills and that every Ninjutsu has a weakness, he proceeds to tell Naruto and Bee what to do so they can learn from the Legendary Uchiha Itachi, the only Shinobi who broke out of Edo control, not even Madara can do that

In the end the Manga = the cold steel hard truth. Open my sig, read it, accept it, stop "personally insulting" other people, stop being a Nagato fanboy.

You want to use the manga as fact when you say he won but then you don't want to use the manga as fact when he needed help from bee and naruto to do it. We're not sure if Yasaka no Magatame would be enough to defeat Chibaku Tensei. Itachi may be smart, but Nagato is not stupid. I think Nagato would win with extremely high difficulty.

These fighting discussions are really making me sick, cause no one can judge it clearly. Surely Nagato is stronger, but Itachi isn't fool, and I'm pretty sure that if Kishi would make their fight in full powers, then their battle would end up without anybody dying, they would probably talk or something, don't you agree?

you are really underating nagato.. Is it possible for nagato to repell that blade?

He can repel the first stab with shinra tensei, then it go's on a 5 sec cooldown and second stab seals nagato. In the manga it was demonstrated that Nagato wasn't even fast enough to repel the first stab. Itachi outspeeds Nagato.

It says that nowhere in the manga. And while we're at it, give proof Yasaka Magatama WILL defeat PD.

1. Yasaka Magatama is shot by Susanoo, not Itachi. Madara's Susanoo also has Yasaka Magatama.
2. I said Itachi would fire THREE Yasaka Magatama.

Stronger Shinobi is determined by POWER, SPEED, INTELLIGENCE, COMBAT ADAPTABILITY.

Itachi has better SPEED, better INTELLIGENCE and better COMBAT ADAPTABILITY than Nagato. Nagato has more POWER than ITACHI. That is why Itachi won the fight.

Itachi indirectly caused himself to be freed by the Crow, he planted in Naruto in the first place Also, If Itachi didn't break free Kabuto had ultimate Itachi + ultimate Nagato which would mean he would dominate everything, oh forgot that he had Madara Aswell lmao.

This battle can go either way imo especially if both are healthy. Your stamina is determines your health therefore a healthy itachi's stamina would go up by 1; 3.5. So far we have seen what a healthy nagato can do all be it in was an edo nagato. We havent fully seen itachi's capabilities to give a clear judgement.

What i will say though is that nagato has his god like ninjutsu's which include offence and defence and his huge and powerful chakra reserve. Itachi has speed, extremely powerful ninjutsu wich include offence and defence, accompanied by his legendary weapons and powerful genjutsu and taijutsu skills he would be lethal. Not to forget his strategic thinking and battle experience.

I believe if its the sixth paths, nagato would win, but if its nagato i feel itachi has the edge because nagato lacks mobility even when he was healthy because he hasnt been able bodied for a sometime. Also he lacks battle experience fighting as nagato instead of his sixth paths and battle experience is also vital when fighting somebody of itachi's capabilities.

There is no doubt that naruto and bee helped itachi in sealing nagato, but what the manga did show us is that itachi's fighting style can beat nagato.

Amaterasu worked and nagato needed to regerate, before he used shinra tensei. Obviously if he wasnt edo that would more or less be the end of him. Also as i said he lacks mobility and against amaterasu, you have to pretty fast to dodge it.

I dont know why tsukuyomi wouldnt work on nagato. A less inferior genjutsu got him.
Itachi having never fought the rennigan already knew its blind spot. Also able to identify chibaku tensei's weakness within seconds.

Saying all this nagato is the favourite to win because he has a counter for most things. Saying this if itachi's uses his techniques wisely not even nagato can counter this. I will give this fight to nagato though but barely

if you are a ninja,then brain is more useful than brawn,who was stronger hidan or shikamaru......hidan obviously.....who won....shikamaru,now you have to have some strength with brains and itachi easily fulfils that condition........no where in the manga is it shown that nagato has brains.....he was easily manipulated + he fell for the tricks by jiraiya and naruto and kakashi.........and itachi is almost as clever as shikamaru.....there has been enough proof in the manga about that........so i say itachi thanks to his amazing thinking and strategy and formidable jutsus

While I agree that Itachi would win vs Nagato as demonstrated in the manga, I disagree that no brains. Nagato outsmarted Jiraiya by bringing out 3 paths of pain, Jiraiya won, dropped his guard, got ambushed from behind and lost 1 of his arms and then overpowered by 6 Paths of Pain and managed to take 1 Path down with 1 arm. This was the only time he demonstrated that he can outsmart an opponent. But Itachi is far more intelligent than Jiraiya and Nagato.

Look fine, Nagato fans and such will say Nagato wins, itachi fans say Itachi wins.

Manga said Itachi wins, even with those two clowns slowing him down by having to save them constantly.
People who say chibaku tensei could'nt be stopped by just Itachi, perhaps, perhaps not, but if Naruto could break out I'm sure Itachi can break out as well, just with a bit more trouble.

Also...genjutsu is extremely effective on rinnegan users as was shown by Jiraiya.

Also even if itachi like jiraiya eventually found out the secret to the paths he wouldvt already used his most powerful techniques already and would be on the verge of 0 chakra.

Also note that the paths can be revived because they are just puppets, thats harder. With nagato if you kill him thats it.

Also note that although nagato is stronger than the paths, he wouldve died against jiraiya's genjutsu if it was him fighting but due to the fact that he was using puppets he wasnt affected at all

itachi's shuriken justu is flawless and he can wave hand sign instantly
his taijutsu is superb even though he dosen't specialize in it (he beat three of his senior uchiha)
the sheild of susanoo can block any attack
susanoo's sword can seal the paths of pain PERMANENTLY so they cant be resurrected
rinnegan is very vulnerable to genjutsu (tsukiyomi)
his sharingan can see minute details
amaterasu burns anything and everything
yasaka magatama is his strongest long range attack and it can be used to counter chibaku tensei
and how come everyone says that chibaku tensei cant be countered??? he did it in the
manga (although he did use bee and naruto's help)

Very nice post, so who is eventaully stronger in your opinion? 6 Paths or Ultimate Nagato? Or is it dependend on their opponent?

The only pain that would be tough for Itachi to take down is Deva Path (Yahiko Pain version), the others got crushed by SM naruto without that much difficulty

nagato>itachi in power n ofcourse experience
itachi>nagato in intelligence and strategies
itachi has low stamina as stated by data book n data book is written by kishi.
nagato is uzumaki so very high stamina.
itaci might b a good ninjutsu user but nagato easily owns him on that
susano drain lot of itachi chakra and nagato has huge chakra reserves as seen against naruto....
and most imp thing kishi says things via manga....
for example itachi said he wud take kabuto n naruto has to take on tobi n sasuke...
he even said to naruto to not push himself....
so if he thought he could defeat nagato on his own he wud have said so .....
he asked for help that itself means that ho cudnt win alone.....
btw the order of development is byakugan then s then ms then ems then rinnegan so its not possible to put rinnegan in ocular genjutsu becuase it was the eye that made it ....
btw kabuto is a noob luk the way madara is using it the eye is still stilll same n nagato has more chakra (uzumaki)
nagato has so many summons and itachi has none and summons can change the game ....

Nagato is stronger than his paths, but what makes him weaker somewhat is that even if he is healthy he hasnt used his legs for time therefore he doesnt have much speed. He lacks mobility. Also due to his disability he has had to fight his battles with dead bodies, therefore he doesnt have much battle experience fighting as nagato.

Against exceptional ninja's its better to use his paths because they can be revived when killed.

Once he has gained mobility and has greater speed + battle experience fighting as nagato i would go as far saying he can beat edo madara

I doubt it, Edo Madara Uchiha also has Rinnegan, Madara Uchiha would crush him in my opinion.
