Both are in full health therefore I conclude that Itachi wins cause he was in a ill state since who knows when!?? And he still managed to survive for so long!
Also with a healthy state he will be more efficient in using Amaterasu and Susanoo
Nagato can never be in a healthy state cause Rinnegan uses massive amounts of chakra and only a senju couples with Uchiha can fully control that and Nagato is a Uzumaki, A watered down part of senju!

Read the damn Manga, during that war Hanzo of The Salamander was a legend because he was fighting to bring peace to world, when he fought Nagato he didn't fight for peace anymore and had lost his faith and cause, during his recent fight with the Samurai he got defeated by the Samurai and the Samurai explained why he was so weak compared to back then, when he lost his cause and faith, when he gave up on fighting to establish peace he became a dull sword and weak.
Hanzo didn't beat the 3 sanins, the 3 sanins were still standing, he just rewarded them for being able to fight him for that long and left.
Hanzo during his peak would crush Nagato any day.
1. He can't block Itachi's genjutsu, 1 sec of that genjutsu = 24+ days if Itachi want's it, game over.
2. Sword of Totsuka is not a Ninjutsu, 1 stab as demonstrated in the manga and Nagato starts crying and saying "I am sorry Itachi", then proceeds to get sealed for eternity.
Any last words, Nagato (fans)?

How Nagato wins. Im going to list all of Itachi's techniques and how Nagato will counter them
totsuka stab-chakra propulsion boots to avoid it Or simply ride a mobile summon or Shinra Tensei to deflect.
Yasaka Magatama-ninjutsu absorption
Susanoo in general-Bansho Ten'n to pull him out of Susanoo then missiles
Amaterasu-ninjutsu absorption
Tsukuyomi-keep a good distance.
Other genjutsu-keep a good distance
fire and water techs-ninjutsu absorption
weapon combo attack and taijutsu-block with Asura or panda summon.

There is a total of more than 10 verses threads of Nagato and Itachi and the fanboys are just not stopping.
First to let you know Rinnegan > MS , so Nagato can absorb all the ninjutsu which Itachi uses , ( includes amaterasu ). So Itachi's only scope is getting Nagato in genjutsu which if he suceeds makes him in the upper hand. Second if Nagato escapes/avoids genutsu ( IF ) , then Nagato can seal Itachi will chibaku tensei easily.
So coming to the battle i'll conclude that both Nagato and Itachi are equally strong ( equally ) in their own ways in battles and if they clash i'd probably say it would end it a tie based on feats. But if this is a fight till the ends then i'd be stretching a towards Itachi though Nagato also has his chances ( 51% Itachi , 49% Nagato ). The reason is Itachi 's has far more better battling strategy than Nagato and uses his moves at the right time effectively than Nagato ( not to say Nagato is bad ) , but considering their feats to be equal i'd say Itachi wins this

Nagato wins. Itachi has nothing I repeat NOTHING that can stop chibaku tensei. Why don't you Itachi fanboys go somewhere else with your nonsense. It took Itachi, Naruto, and Bee to just destroy chibaku tensei. Itachi did NOT beat Nagato by himself and that's a manga fact.

Yes he doe, he has 2 options:
1. Sword of Totsuka (Seals what ever it stabs. If the manga doesn't state that Sword of Totsuka can't seal CT, then it means it will succeed in stopping CT).
2. Tripple Yasaka Magatama

Itachi is a skilled shinobi, what makes him so ridicoulesly strong is the combination of the Jata Mirror and Sword of Totsuki (Zetsu stated he is almost invincible because of that), If his Susanoo didn't have those legendary Items Nagato would EASILY win.
If he only had the Sword of Totsuka I would say it would be a draw or Nagato would win, but because he also has Yata Mirror to avoid killing blows makes Itachi win.

Even if Rinnegan>Sharingan, Itachi said that you need he's eyes (sharingan or rinnegan) AND he's blood to cancel Tsukuyomi (Nagato is an Uzumakinot an uchiha). So if Nagato get's caught game over. :shrug:
