Nagato... Why? No counter for chibaku tensei and could use gedo mazo to keep itachi at a distance.... if nagato has full mobility thats just overkill especially with all the other abilities of the rinnegan.

Itachi landed 2 Technical killing blows on Nagato before he got the chance to use CT.

There is no proof that Itachi could or couldn't destroy CT on his own. The way the manga portrays it, we see a calm and cool headed Itachi teaching Naruto a lesson about Shinobi skills and that every Ninjutsu has a weakness, he proceeds to tell Naruto and Bee what to do so they can learn from the Legendary Uchiha Itachi, the only Shinobi who broke out of Edo control, not even Madara can do that

In the end the Manga = the cold steel hard truth. Open my sig, read it, accept it, stop "personally insulting" other people, stop being a Nagato fanboy.
