Nagato's Shinra Tensei is much more powerful than Pain's. Not including CST. It would blast away Hirudora AND the caster simultaneously.

Nagato's Shinra Tensei which blew away the forest didn't harm any of his victims and so won't harm Gai. The cooldown of this technique will allow Gai to stomp him in return. Hirudora isn't needed, he can use a barrage of his punches which could outlast the Shinra Tensei because each usage is followed by an interval. It's just about to think more rationally.

I don't see how Chibaku Tensei's core can be broken by Gai. It needs a powerful and CONCENTRATED attack to destroy it.

A fist is pretty darn concentrated.
And if an 8 tails could break out of it I think that Gai could escape with brute force.
It would also put a great deal of stress on Nagato and if Gai was to attack with great force combined with the gravitational pull should be enough.

Gai has absolutely no answer to the cerebus (multi headed dog).
Shinra Tensei doesn't need to harm the attacker; it sends them flying and delays the opponent from attacking while it recharges. Five seconds is a very small amount of time. The anime made it last for half a minute at some points.

Even if Nagato takes this, one should think about a more realistic scenario. :/
That almost sounds like Bansho Tenin against Madara in his PS + soul rip = GG.

What if Gai instantly activates 7 gates, Nagato uses Bansho Tenin and Gai uses this speed + the one gained from 7 gates to send a fatal blow at him? Preferably spamming these blows to outlast even a Shinra Tensei with the speed of a machinegun? Too bad Nagato can't absorb that.

It sounds like you are implying that he'll be able to attack Nagato once he's been caught by the attractive force of Bansho Tennin.

Naruto was pulled in a fashion where he couldn't even move his body, he had to resort to chakra arms in order to escape the meteor, and he was in midair, so Gai's speed won't matter then, nor will his punches, not when he can't even throw them.

If Gai comes at him, he could always opt to attack via Shinra Tensei, (which was enough to blow away all these trees)

to create distance and allow him to summon his bird and take flight on it which then pretty much means Gai can't hurt him, and then he can summon his animals (Cerberus that can't be taken down via physical attacks) in order to take him down.

No info just makes this a terrible defeat for Guy.

Asura Path makes nagato very durable. It could still move after being electrified by kakshi's clone, being smashed by choji/his father and taking a raikiri in the chest.

The core of Chibaku Tensei is several miles high. Gai isn't reaching it. Naruto's TBB did bare anything to CT in the manga once it stated forming.

Yes, nagato can share his vision with the summons. The more gai attacks the dog, the more it splits. Which means more and more visual coverage and depth perception.

Or Nagato can hurt the dog himself (perhaps with missiles) and multiply the dog.

Gai has developed counters for the rinnegan techniques, his intelligence is low but his skill is high, the info would improve his skill, just like when he countered Itachi's genjutsu with a simple piece of info.
