[VS] Nagato vs Gai (Guy)

I've heard a lot of people saying that Gai can Solo Nagato simply because the Preta Path cannot absorb Hirudora and other Taijutsu. However, can't the Rinnegan see Chakra? And therefore, wouldn't Nagato opt for a Shinra Tensei for defence?

Who would win?

Knowledge: None for both.

Restrictions: None. Nagato can summon Gedo Mazo, but will be hurt. Gai can use the 8th gate, but will die in the process.

Nagato is mobile and fully healthy. So is Gai.

Well, we all know that Lee and Gai didn't participate in the pain fight because they would have lol stomped pain.
So if Gai used the 7th gate or if we speculated how strong the 8th gate is based off hype I would like to believe that Nagato would kinda have his torso destroyed with a single punch.

I do believe that Nagato could be overwhelmed by Gai with 8 gates. He lacks mobility, Gakido is useless against his attacks and his speed would allow him to avoid anything Nagato can throw at him while he himself couldn't really react at him, let alone focusing attacks on him which can deal great damage on him. Already with 6 gates activated, he radiates so much power which is reflected in power, speed and durability, that attacks coming from whatever path wouldn't prove effectiveness on him. And if six gates can do something like

, I'm pretty sure that such a barrage used with 7 or even 8 gates would utterly overwhelm the Shinra Tensei, which is followed by an interval after each usage. Gai is a worse opponent for Nagato, as his fighting style doesn't contain Ninjutsu and he himself lacks mobility. So if not with 7 gates, he could tie with 8. Surviving Gai's 8 gates rampage is rather beyond belief.

Too bad Guy would die after two Hirudora.

But we haven't really seen healthy/mobile Nagato.
Only time we seen him even kinda healthy was when he was Edo but that isn't fair because how do we know what of his power that was shown was from him being edo.

Edo makes the character have unlimited Chakra and insane regenerative capabilities. During the fight between Bee and Naruto, Nagato used less of his power than he did during the Pain invasion arc. So having unlimited chakra would have barely made a difference.

It's very fair to say that the Nagato who fought Naruto and Bee would be very similar to a 'blend' of the Nagato who fought Hanzo (mobility) and the Nagato who absorbed Bee's chakra.

I think the Naraka Path (Jigokudo) can be used to heal Nagato. Asura Path (Shurado) would give him insane durability.

Even if Nagato takes this, one should think about a more realistic scenario. :/
That almost sounds like Bansho Tenin against Madara in his PS + soul rip = GG.

What if Gai instantly activates 7 gates, Nagato uses Bansho Tenin and Gai uses this speed + the one gained from 7 gates to send a fatal blow at him? Preferably spamming these blows to outlast even a Shinra Tensei with the speed of a machinegun? Too bad Nagato can't absorb that.

Nagato's Shinra Tensei is much more powerful than Pain's. Not including CST. It would blast away Hirudora AND the caster simultaneously.

I don't see how Chibaku Tensei's core can be broken by Gai. It needs a powerful and CONCENTRATED attack to destroy it.

There is no healthy mobile Nagato, especially if he summons Gedo Mezo, then he gets rods on his back. Gai could win, but I doubt it.
