They are both healthy .
Nagato is alive and can walk (He is mobile)
Kabuto does not have his Edo army , but he can turn into DSM mode .

This is how the battle starts .

Location :
Distance : 15 m
Intel : Manga

Kabuto starts off in base form , and he turns later in DSM mode , while Nagato has to charge first to use Rinnegan .

Who wins and why ?

Nagato wins very high difficulty because capturing DSM Kabuto would be difficult. And if Kabuto gets captured, Nagato grabs him and pulls out his soul with ease and quickly.

If an argument on this is thrown like he can escape by oral rebirth or getting liquified, then I would say that Nagato keeps the ninjutsu absorption technique active (after all oral rebirth is still a ninjutsu) while grabbing Kabuto's soul. And about liquifying ability, even if he gets liquified, his soul has already got caught, he cannot escape from that ability.

Nagato wins low difficulty. Another not should be debatable thread. Put it in a cave, only place where Kabuto can push him to maybe mid difficulty

Kabuto can never get captured , even if he gets he can still use Oral Rebirth and Liquify . As you say that Nagato can still use Preta Path to abrosb Oral Rebirth , I think no because there's no way he could absorb Kabuto's body . , after all it's Kabuto's body , not a Ninjutsu . Same goes for Liquifying jutsu .

Kabuto takes this. Sage Mode is almost the Renningan's kryptonite.
agreed .

but as ejblack said , sage mode is the worst matchup for a rinnegan user , i can see kabuto winning this high diff .

Lmao, you cannot hide the hate of Kabuto to make this claim.
No hate, just facts

How is Sage Mode a worse match up for a rinnengan user? More like Rinnengan is Kabuto's worse match-up, reason why he feared to face it

What about Bansho Tenin? Nagato (without the six paths) can use multiple rinnegan techniques simultaneously. Even if Kabuto gets liquified or uses Oral rebirth, Bansho Tenin still works. Also Nagato can throw away the attacks with Shinra Tensei while using Bansho Tenin.

But Oral Rebirth is still a Ninjutsu, I'm not saying Nagato would absorb his thrown away body But he can absorb the chakra used for the Oral rebirth.

Bansho Tenin is the best way for Kabuto to finish this. Once he does this, Kabuto uses his superior strength to rip him in half.

Then Nagato will block him at the last moment using Shinra Tensei. You know Nagato can use multiple rinnegan techniques. ( This answer is probably because I think how Nagato would act in the process )

But the reply to your statement is this vvv

Also even though Kabuto is being pulled by Bansho Tenin, he won't be able to move towards Nagato at high speed at his own will because he would be under control when he's being pulled. The rate of pull towards the user in Bansho Tenin depends upon the user and not the target.

(We have seen Kakashi was pulled by Yahiko but he himself couldn't hold his ground and that is why he threw the chain onto a rock to fight against the pull. But Yahiko increased the rate of pull. Kakashi was pulled but the chain along with the rock wasn't pulled. That proves Nagato can control things individually which he wants)

It was never shown in the Manga that Nagato can use BT and ST at the same time. Nagato can use 2 Paths at the same time but not the same Path at the same time. Nagato is not blocking someone who has superior strength.

You contradicted yourself. You said Kakashi couldn't move and yet was able to make movements. The fact remains, Kakashi cannot change his direction, that doesn't mean he do anything else. Much like Kabuto's case.

Once Nagato uses BT its over.

Nagato used Asura path twice at the same time against Bee. Though that still doesn't imply there's a possibility of using BT and ST at the same time since Deva requires five seconds intervals. On the other hand, Nagato still wins this. Asura path can grab and fire a laser at Kabuto after Nagato having used BT to pull him towards himself. SM Kabuto has not shown excessive strength as Naruto has, giving him such a feat is rather biased. ST destroys any white rage orb Kabuto has to offer. Kabuto's liquefaction is countered via preta. Considering this is in a forest, CT will easily end this due to the fact that Kabuto cannot control organic things such as trees. Manda 2 is easily dealt with via multi-headed dog or chakra receivers to put it on his side if he wills. Nagato wins high diff.

How exactly can you absorb oral rebirth?
