They're not front runners and are pushed to the back as a supportive member. This has been explained multiple times. The team being aware of this and considering their ability (speed/durability/transformation), they're more than capable of doing shielding Cee.

That's a troll strategy.

However the giant rocks gravitating towards the core would give away the location.

When its one against 6 troll strategies tend to work.
