Wood Release (木遁, Mokuton; English TV "Wood Style") is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that combines earth and water-based chakra natures to create wood or complete trees. This ability can also be used to create other aspects of trees, such as seeds or flowers.[1] Wood Release techniques can be produced from anywhere, including the user's body, as the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life

Mokuton isn't just chakra. It creates life with chakra as fuel. So Preta Path would absorb the chakra that is fueling the growth of the plants but the plants would stay. Even with that happening Nagato has to get close to the jutsu to take its chakra. If Hashi uses flowering tree world then Nagato would fall asleep unless he knew about the pollen. If he did then he would be stuck using ST to push it away from him and he is sure to have some kind of cooldown or time limit with that, even when he himself is using it. People seem to think all Hashi could do was make trees but that is wrong.

Even if Nagato could make a CT twice as large or use Chour ST it wouldn't matter. 6 tailed Naruto is nothing compared to Kurama himself. Nagato's CT was stopped by a TBB from Gyuki, RS from Naruto, and Magtama from Itachi. Kurama's TBB stopped a combined 5 TBB. This combined TBB was a lot more powerful than the combined attack that took down Nagato's own CT. Also, remember that Kurama is extremely durable and that, since Naruto wounds healed when using Kurama's chakra, Kurama wounds would heal as well. Nagato just can't compare.

Look, someone like Gaara manipulates pre existing sand; in this situation, the chakra flowing through it can be absorbed, but the sand itself can't be absorbed. Hashirama actively creates and maniplulates his Mokuton, the entire technique consists of his chakra and can therefore be absorbed. All the materials which make up his trees (e.g the wood and the leaves) are chakra based. All of it. Shodaime is not capable of making something out of nothing. This 'life' description is what's throwing people off; it's because he's making trees and trees are alive. The "living" aspect is simply Hashirama injecting his chakra into it and continuing to manipulate its growth. His method of making said trees means it is all susceptible to being absorbed, because it is entirely chakra based. Mokuton is no different to any large Katon, Suiton or even Doton (but most Doton based attacks actually manipulate pre existing earth) based attacks.

Fūjutsu Kyūin couldn't fully absorb something tangible like humans, because we are made up of alot more than just chakra. All the materials in Hashirama's trees are made up of chakra, all of it. Nagato can blow away any pollen with his mastery of Fuuton. He has a counter for everything Hashirama has to offer, with even Bringer of Darkness rendered useless by his sensing abilities.

This is dependant on whether the Kyuubi is smart enough to attack Chibaku Tensei whilst it's starting up, which I find unlikely, especially if Nagato occupies it with something else. And I think CT would be, at the minimum, twice if not three times as big as the first one. If Kurama is caught in something that large, he's not breaking out.

Madara said that it was even more effective than Tsunade's. All of that combined with his physical strength proves disastrous against Nagato.

You are underestimating the strength and knowledge of Kurama. You are also speculating that Nagato can create a larger CT than what he had shown to stop Bee, Naruto, and Itachi. We haven't seen this. Even if he could the destructive power of Kurama's TBB would still tear through it or Kurama could just break through himself. Kurama probably has knowledge of the Rinnegan since he was around with the actual So6P.

Also Hashi was physically powerful like Tsunade and could regenerate wounds

tsunade and sakura are the only ones who can do that strength, and hashi wasnt healing in kuramas flashback

Nope, it's like any Suiton or Katon based attack, once the chakra supply has stopped, the technique will end but the remnants (fire, water, or in this case, trees) will still remain, and will still be susceptible to Fūjutsu Kyūin. But obviously, Nagato does not need to worry about the trees which Hashirama is no longer manipulating (just like ninjas don't worry about the left of fire from Katon attacks), so he doesn't need to absorb absolutely everything, just the parts which are of immediate danger to him.

Nagato has shown the ability to use more than one path at a time. He can use Preta path in conjunction to Deva Path and Asura Path if he wanted. Shodaime may have some outrageous healing abilities, but it will not save him from having his soul ripped from his body, which Nagato could achieve with a clever Banshou Tenin (Naruto was only saved by his chakra arm) Human Path combo. If Hashirama is close to Nagato, and Nagato chooses to use Banshou Tenin, Shodaime will simply have no time to counter. And then of course, the option to sync with Gedo Mazo remains. I also feel you're overlooking the effectiveness of Cerberus in this situation. The only way to defeat it is to defeat the summoner, and if Hashirama continues to spam forests, pretty soon there'll be 20 odd dogs running loose, and everytime Hashirama tries to defeat it (or even if it's accidental because of his forest spam), he'll only be creating more problems for himself. Currently, Nagato has wayyy more feats that Shodaime, and this is why, currently, he is ahead of the 1st Hokage.

the smallest Chibaku Tensei Nagato made, done after fodderizing a village and through Deva Path. You could comfortably house Perfect Susanoo and the two meteors inside that. Just think of how many Bijuu Damas would fit inside of the canyon created by Chibaku Tensei. Hundreds. At the minimum, a healthy Nagato could make one at least twice the size. Puts things into perspective.
