Nagato and the bijuus

I was catching up the recent naruto chapters, im way behind. And i saw this.

Nagato using this beast. Its the same stature that they use to seal the bijuus. And notice what it does to those guys. It takes their soul away. Look at this

Its when pain attacked konoha, we have the ghost realm doing the same exact thing to this guy. Could the sealing stature be some amplification device that magnifys a person's power using the bijuus' chakra as battery ?

Also the stature is made of wood, i think it has some sort of connection to the 11st. He was the only person that could use wood techniques to its fullest, sorry yamato, so I think he's the one who made it.

hmm...i dont think 1st hokage made it just cuz its made outta wood his chakra is wat made him able to tame the beasts, not the thing with nine eyes. And one more thnig...if the first made it....them why did pain/nagato...a rain leader...have it?
