[Theory] nagato and rinnegan?

with the recent events of learning that the rinnegan is actually part of the sharingan's development, i have a theory on why the real nagato looked the way he did (skinny and weak).

we all know (or assume) nagato is/was part of the uzumaki clan, which contains the senju half the so6p. we also know that "tobi" gave (by which i assumed he implanted) the rinnegan into nagato. if we go back, we know kakashi was always limited in using the sharingan extensively because he did not have the uchiha bloodline. so using that as my basis, we can assume that nagato looked like crap because he did not share the bloodline of the uchiha and it limited his powers as a rinnegan user.

what does that mean? imo it means that there is a lot more to the rinnegan than what nagato has shown us. its like comparing kakashi to itachi, where kakashi = nagato and itachi = madara (in the near future chapters). kakashi is pretty good with the sharingan, but we know itachi would mop the floor with kakashi in the sharingan vs sharingan battle. we will see the full extent of the rinnegan when madara uses it, maybe even upto the level of the so6p using it in the past.


maybe this was obvious to begin with, but i dont know. just wanted to state it. i would like to hear your theories on this.


oh also... there are supposed to be "SIX PATHS". rumors stated that senju (life), uchiha (eyes), and rinnegan (eyes of the so6p?) were 3 paths. at least thats what tobi led us to believe. so now that the rinnegan and sharingan are part of the same evolutionary chain, are they still considered 2 of the 6 paths, or are they just 1 path?

This isnt really related to your questions im just putting my own theories out there, so we've seen what nagato can do with the rinnegan right? and he is part of the uzmaki's which means hes half So6p well im this that madaras going to have a different set of powers to nagato because he's the other half of So6p so idk whats gonna happen but whatever it is its gonna b epic

We don't actually know that the Rinnengan is part of the Sharingan progression for sure....

When Tobi was explaining why Madara fought the 1st he said it was because he wanted to gain the powers of the first....

Maybe Senju + Uchiha = Rinnengan.... If Nagato was an Uzumaki (Relative of the Senju) and Madara gave him some power this could also awaken the Rinnengan.

This also explains why Tobi needed to take it off Nagato despite having an EMS of his own.

but isnt that what tobi was trying to accomplish? one way or another, madara and/or tobi tried (or are trying) to get up to the level of the So6P... tobi stated "madara fought harishima in order to gain access to the first's dna". i dont think that statement is completely false. the reason madara tried to get the first's dna was to become a complete form (of the so6p).

it is possible that after fighting with the first, madara obtained the rinnegan, but due to damage from the battle, he could no longer continue to live. so he had tobi try to revive him (madara) with his new powers. but somehow it failed and kabuto revived him instead.

This also explains why Tobi needed to take it off Nagato despite having an EMS of his own.

we havent seen tobi use the EMS (yet, if he has it).

That does actually make a bit of sense however I'm skeptical of whether Tobi does possess the EMS. While he does display the ability to use space-time techniques, we've never seen him with an altered sharingan pattern to suggest MS/EMS. Further more he always has his sharingan active along with a large supply of spare eyes, that just gives the vibe that he's got implanted eyes.
