If they kept their emotions Itachi and Nagato, would give away their weaknesses like the others did. Nagato believes in Naruto and has defected from Akatsuki (willingly before he died), Itachi was always Konoha and true and hates war so he's going to want out. Idk otherwise. Naruto is techniqually facing only one pain now and his speed is even greater now as well as his variety of new Rasengan techniques. I'm not sure how Itachi will do, we've never seen an Edo summon use their full capibilities like they could alive so Idk
