Chapter 7: Can't Escape This Explosion
Hey guys Hebi here with a very long brand new chapter. But not to worry this chapter will be Jam-packed with action so kick back and enjoy the fanfic
(Mike, Fangs, Lupus, and Pantatharus prepare for battle against a strange individual who refers to himself as Carnage. Mike who suddenly seems bent on fighting and taking this man down, speaks with the others on a strategy he came up with to ensure their success.)
Mike: Okay guys I have an idea.
Fangs: What is it?
Mike: Okay, well look at his right hand.
(Lupus, Pantatharus, and Fangs follow Mike's command and look at the right hand of the now smiling Carnage.)
Mike: I think that's where his power to explode things come from. So maybe if we can just avoid that hand we should be fine.
Pantatharus: Well, that is a pretty good analysis of the subject Mike, but what makes you think that he can't explode things with his left hand?
Mike: Nothing... but still.. we have to be sure.
Lupus: Okay... so who goes first?
(Mike steps forward and is met with a psychotic laugh from Carnage)
Carnage: (shouting) I GUESS HE IS GOING FIRST!!!
(While the battle is about to start, Melody and Streak are walking together talking about Melody's friends.)
Streak: So, the little guy is a zombie. And the big one is a ... werewolf?
Melody: Yup.. pretty weird huh?
Streak: (chuckles) Yeah kinda.
(Melody and Streak continue to walk side by side until they see a cat with an injured paw laying in the grass)
Melody: (kneeling down towards the cat) She's hurt. Do you guys have any vets here or any of that?
Streak: (kneeling down beside Melody) No, I don't think we do.
Melody: (reaching in her backpack) That's okay I guess.. I have some bandages anyway.
(Melody has Streak help her wrap the paw with the bandages.)
Melody: (petting the cat) See all better.
(Melody reaches into her backpack again and assembles her flute which she starts to play. The cat enjoys the music and lays down on Melody's laps while she plays. Streak smiles as Melody plays which the latter notices and both begin to blush a little as the music continues.)
(Soon after the two begin to walk back to camp with both content with the day that they had.)
(Mike who is now ready to attack Carnage is backed up by Lupus and Fangs.)
Mike: Ready?
Lupus and Fangs: Yeah!
(Mike sprints towards Carnage with Lupus and Fangs following close behind. Mike with his left arm in his right hand, swings it like a sword trying to get a good hit on Carnage. Carnage however dodges his improvised sword with ease.)
Carnage: (while dodging) Is that the best you can do?
(Fangs and Lupus catch up to the scene of the fight. Carnage who is about to place his right hand on Mike has it knocked away by Lupus in the nick of time. Fangs leaps toward Carnage aiming for a good spot to sink her fangs into him.)
Carnage: (shouting while kicking up dirt into the air) The game isn't over yet!
(Before Fangs attack makes contact Carnage places his right hand inside the dirt and yells "Explode" which causes the dirt to spread out over an extensive area, causing some of it to lodge in the eyes of Fangs, Lupus, and Mike. Lupus who can't see tries to hit Carnage, but his attack is easily intercepted by Carnage who throws Fangs ,who was still in mid-air trying to attack him, at him knocking them a good distance away from Carnage and Mike.)
Mike: (rubbing his eyes in an effort to get the dirt out) Are you guys okay?
(Carnage walks towards the partially blinded Mike, who is still trying to get the dirt of his eyes, grips his neck with his left hand, and places his right hand on his chest.)
Carnage: (laughing) YES! YES! I GOT YOU! I'M GONNA EXPLODE YOU INTO BITS AND WASH MYSELF IN YOUR BLOOD! YESSSSSSSSS!
(Fangs and Lupus look on at the laughing Carnage unworried with Pantatharus even chuckling at the fact.)
Carnage: (whispering to Mike) Your friends don't look so worried. It's okay though they will ......when I come for them.
(Carnage's right hand starts to glow and he utters his phrase "Explosion" which causes a large portion of Mike's chest to be blown off leaving a gaping hole.)
Carnage: (rubs his hand around the rim of the hole left in Mike) Where's the blood? WHERE'S THE BLOOD?
Mike: (looks up at Carnage and smiles like his happy go-lucky self) What blood? I'm dead.
(Carnage is shocked by the fact which gives Mike enough time to release the grip of Carnage's right hand from around his neck. He then signals Pantatharus.)
Mike: (shouting to Pantatharus) Now!
(Pantatharus runs towards Mike and Carnage with his eyes locked on the hole left in Mike's chest. Pantatharus then shrinks to the size of a fly and jumps through the hole in Mike's chest, once he is safely through he returns back to his normal size and delivers a flesh-tearing scratch to Carnage's chest which causes the latter to jump back in pain.)
Mike: (whispers to himself) Thank God..
(Fangs and Lupus catch up to Mike and Pantatharus in an effort to see if they are alright)
Fangs: (looking at the hole in Mike's chest) Are you ok?
Mike: Yeah... but being a zombie kind of makes you forget about things like this.
Fangs: (faintly smiling) Yeah I guess so. Can you still fight?
(Mike who had been sitting on the floor after Pantatharus came to aid him stood up to reassure Fangs that he was ready to fight. Lupus, who was intently watching Carnage the whole time began to transform into his were-wolf like form "commonly dubbed as wolf-mode". Carnage gave the twisted, demented smile he had given the group time and time before, but this time the smile had sort of a revenge-tinge to it along with his own blood smeared all over his face.)
Pantatharus: (focused on Carnage) He's coming everyone be on your guard.
(Carnage rushed toward the entire group with his right hand in front of him. Lupus, who was the first one to be part of his rampage, formed a fist and aimed straight for Carnage's face knowing that if he got a good clean hit it would be all over for his enemy. Carnage who knew that if he can catch Lupus' hand with his right hand then he could explode his hand entirely off his arm and move onto the others. Satisfied with his plan Carnage planned to do just that.)
Carnage: (Cackling while trying to catch Lupus' fist in his palm) Stupid Mutt...
(Before Carnage manages to succeed however, Fangs flies towards him from his right side and catches his wrist before he makes contact with his hand. Carnage, even though his wrist is being gripped decides to move Fangs into Lupus's line of attack so that she will be injured more easily.)
Carnage: (who is under Fangs due to her being knocked into him by Lupus on accident) I'M CLOSER TO YOUR BLOOD. I CAN FEEL IT. IT WANTS ME TO LET IT OUT OF YOUR BODY. IT WANTS TO BE ABLE TO QUENCH BY THIRST.
(Fangs, who is still injured from Lupus' attack ignores Carnage's longing for your blood. She lifts herself from off the floor onto her feet, but forgets that he is under her. Carnage, reaching up from the floor, places his glowing right hand on Fang's back.
Carnage: (eyes bloodshot) EXPLODE!
(The impact on the explosion causes Fangs to be thrown a good distance with her back having severe burns, but the injuries were not as bad as Mike's.Pantatharus, Mike, and Lupus run over to where Fangs unmoving body lies.)
Mike: (feeling her pulse) Fangs! Fangs!? Are you ok? Lupus.. Lupus she doesn't have a pulse I- I think she's..
Lupus: (reassuring Mike) Mike... she's a vampire she's already dead so she won't have pulse.
Mike: (looking down at Fangs with worry) I know... but she can still...
(Fangs opens her eyes and starts to cough while sitting herself up which brings joy to a once worried Mike)
Fangs: (upset) I'm not dead .. I'm fine ..see
Mike: If you weren't dead then why were your eyes closed?
Fangs: (facepalm) Well after you hit the ground pretty hard and your in pain you want to close your eyes for a bit.
Mike: (still questioning Fangs) I guess but still.. why --
Lupus: (interrupts) Yo! Look.
(Fangs and Mike look in the direction where Lupus is looking and see Pantatharus engaging Carnage in battle alone. Pantatharus who has shrunk to a very small level, similar to the size of a fly, is leaping around Carnage leaving small claw marks along his skin as he goes along. Carnage who is having trouble catching him with his right hand screams out in frustration.)
Carnage: I WILL EXPLODE YOU! ..THE BLOOD.....THE BLOOD.....YOUR BLOOD.... IT'S GIVING... ME... AN IDEA!!!
(Carnage realizes that shoving his right hand in one direction to blow up Pantatharus is going nowhere. So, he decides to spin himself around with his right hand extended out in an attempt to randomly catch Pantatharus.
Mike: (ready to take off) Come on guys we have to help him.
Fangs: I.. I can't stand up that explosion thingy he did must have got me good.
Lupus: (kneeling down beside Fangs examining her wound) Mike go help "Pant" (nickname for Pantatharus) I'll be there in a second.
Mike: (shouting from afar) Okay!
(Lupus tells Fangs to lay on her stomach while he further examines her wound. He then begins to lick her wound which causes her blood to sizzle. After, Lupus finishes licking her injury Fangs flips over and gives him an angry glare.)
Fangs: (angry) What were you doing!?
Lupus: I can't explain right now but you'll be feeling better in a little bit.
(Lupus hurries off to the scene of the battle before Fangs can question him about his statement leaving her confused. Back at the fight, Carnage is still spinning around and eventually feels the shrunken Pantatharus on his right palm. Mike, who is running towards the fight, hears Carnage mutter his phrase "Explosion" before the ensuing explosion occurs. Pantatharus is rendered unconscious by the explosion and his body, which is now back to it's original size due to him being unconscious, is sent flying down a linear path hitting Mike in the process. Lupus, who was directly behind Mike as well narrowly dodged him due to his superior reflexes.)
Fangs: (shouting to Mike) You ok?
Mike: (trapped under Pantatharus's 700-pound body) Super Dooper.
(Lupus who was focused on Fangs' and Mike's conversation did not notice Carnage sneak up next to him. Carnage placed his right hand on Lupus' chest.)
Carnage: (screaming psychotically) LIKE I SAID BEFORE STUPID MUTT!!!! EXPLODE!
(Carnage created a mild explosion that sent Lupus flying into the side wall of the shop Fangs, Mike, Pantatharus and Lupus visited earlier. Carnage slowly walked towards the location of Lupus, with the Fangs and Mike helplessly looking on. Lupus, now tired and weakened from the whole ordeal prepared to deliver a hit to Carnage, but the latter simply placed his left hand on Lupus which sent an unbearable pain throughout Lupus' body. Lupus fell down to the ground in pain eventually shifting out of Wolf-Mode into his human form.)
(Lupus' thoughts: Wha.. What just ...happened.)
Carnage: (looking down at the blood on his chest whispering to himself) YOUR BLOOD WILL.... FINALLY BE ...MINE...
(Carnage lunges his right hand for Lupus' face but it is stopped by an unknown force. Carnage looks down and realizes that his right hand is being stopped in its tracks by another hand. Lupus ,who's eyes were closed opened them and ,saw Carnage's hand merely centimeters away from his face but couldn't help but smile when he noticed who's hand it was Carnage looked behind him and saw Mike without an arm using his other arm to point to the one holding Carnage's in place.)
Mike: (looking Carnage in the eyes) What's up? You didn't know I can control my arms even if they aren't attached to my body... sucks for you.
(Lupus tries to escape while he is busy looking at Mike, but Carnage presses his foot against the wound on Mike's chest causing him to stay still while screaming out in pain. Carnage ,angered at this point, then decides to overpower Mike's hold on him. Mike who is still not able to muster up all his strength due to Pantatharus being planted on top of him decides to use the other arm he used earlier in the battle.)
Carnage: (struggling) Blood... I NEED THE BLOOD!!
(Carnage eventually is able to overpower Mike's arm and places his right hand on Lupus' face with a sadistic look as he does so. Before he shouts "Explosion" Mike's other arm wraps it's hand around his wrist pulling Carnage's hand away from his chest. Fangs, slowly but surely gets back on her feet with her injury healed.
Fangs: (looking at Mike then Lupus and then shouts) Ready?
Mike: (struggling) Y-... Yeah.
Lupus: (in pain) Just do..it!
(Mike releases the grip of his two hands off of Carnage's wrist which causes the latter to scream with excitement as he places right hand on Lupus' face. Mike, however forms his left hand into a fist and punches the sadistic man in the throat causing his hand to slide off Lupus' face using both of this hands to grab his throat in pain. Lupus slides his foot off his chest and runs as Fangs zooms through the air towards Carnage like a bullet and crashes into his back delivering a bone crushing tackle into the side wall of the shop.)
