Mystical Chapter 12: The Aftermath
(Melody, after using her first original song on her flute, destroys the smoke creature who had took in interest in Melody for some unknown reason. The weary look on her face, was that of exhaustion brought on by this unforeseen battle. Melody had no time to fall back on the floor and rest her feet, because her friends were in danger and without her help they could possibly die. She suddenly remembered what kind of condition Streak was in the last time she saw him and instantly darted in his direction.)
Melody: Streak.... you're okay?
(Streak who had fallen victim to the Smoke Creature's ability ,of slowly erasing someone's body parts until nothing remained, was perfectly fine with his body back to normal much to Melody's relief. However, he was as exhausted as she was but managed to stand himself up.)
Streak: Well.... we did it.. right. Is that thing still alive?
Melody: I don't know but I think we should before he ... you know comes back.
(Melody and Streak stand still for a moment until Melody starts to run towards the smoke cloud the Smoke Creature had created to hold back the others while it took care of Melody alone. The cloud of smoke slowly began to dissipate revealing the unconscious bodies of Fangs, Lupus, Mike, and Pantatharus. Melody individually woke each of them up.)
Melody: (lightly slapping Fangs) Wakey, Wakey, Eggs and Bacey.
Fangs: (in a mumbled tone) Go away.
Streak: (tries to wake Mike up) Uh.. Wakey , Bacey, and Eggs.
Mike: (automatically gets up) Really?
(Lupus wakes up on his own before anyone reaches him. Melody tries to wake Pantatharus up, but he only rolls over. Melody giggles and walks away but then the fairly large cat, after he rolls over starts to cough up blood.)
Melody: (kneeling beside Pantatharus) Are you alright?
Fangs: (angry) Does he look alright?
Pantatharus: (struggling to speak) T- the... reason.. why I am in ... this.. cond- condition... is.. because... of my retaliation ... against the smoke ... cloud..
Melody: What do you mean?
Lupus: He means that he tried to fight against the effects the smoke cloud has on someone when they are trapped inside. Basically, if you are in it you fall asleep but since Pantatharus was trying to fight that, it affected his body somehow.
Melody: (putting her head down) Dammit
Pantatharus: It's ... alright... I- I won't die... I just neeed... some rest... th-that's all.
(Melody's thoughts: Thank God)
Streak: (looking to his right and left) There's no buildings around here and I don't think we should just let him rest on the ground.
(Just as Streak finished his sentence a magical light started to radiate from Melody's pocket much to Fangs' chagrin as the light irritated her eyes.)
Fangs: Melody take that thing out of your pocket before I rip your throat out.
Mike: Looks like someone is a bit you know... b-wordy.
(Fangs glares at Mike. Mike takes this as a warning and starts to run with Fangs behind him yelling out insults behind him. Meanwhile Melody pulls whatever it is that is shining in her pocket which turns out to be another Song Sheet.)
Melody: Well, I think I may have got the solution to our problem.
Lupus: That song sheet came really quick.
Melody: (putting her flute to her mouth) Yeah, it did....
Streak: (to Melody) Whats wrong?
(Melody studies the song sheet in silence with her eyebrow arched in confusion at the timely manner of the song sheet.
Streak: (places his hand on Melody) MELODY!
Melody: (regains her senses) Oh.. sorry I was just um.. ha.. nevermind. Is everyone ready?
(Streak, Lupus, and Pantatharus nod while Fangs' beats Mike mercilessly in a comedic manner. Melody begins to play the song on the sheet with her flute. Causing an aqua-colored energy to flow from the bottom part of her flute and swirl around the whole group with a peaceful music accompanied with it. The group vanishes onto the next dimension.)
Okay well that's the chapter. What does the next dimension have in store for our young heroes? Will a character die the next chapter? All this and more will be answered in the next chapter of Mystical.
