The fact of the matter is, Naruto is created in Japan. Japan is an island in Asia. Relatively few people of African descent there. I believe the proper question to ask is, why are there so many blonde haired blue eyed "ninja?"

I want to agree with both people since as a person of african american descent its awesome to see black people in manga, especially one that you like. thats why i loved eyeshield. But i also have to agree with zombie it does not make sense to have them,.....and why do we have blond hair blue eye ninja running around and a soul reaper with orange hair.

Well, one thing I have noticed in a lot of anime/manga that do have black people, the animation of them tends to be a little less than politically correct. (And often in older anime/manga the animations can seem to be outright racist).
