Evening! This is pretty much a generic Hiruzen thread, i will try to be unbaised, and not do too much overrating. Enjoy!
[PM] Abilities[/PM]
Melee Combat
Ninjutsu
Still fast, at Old Age!
Things to note and some Hype given to him by other characters
His time as Hokage, positives and Negatives
Conclusion
- I believe that Hiruzen is heavily underrated, yet at the same time Overrated here on the base. With this thread, i'm trying to establish why he is a very powerful ninja, worthy of praise and acknowledgement.
- In my opinion, he is on the same level as Minato and Tobirama, but they are all beneath Hashirama.
- Even in Old Age, he has been portrayed this way ,and shown to be able to compete with the big dogs.
- Hiruzen excelled in all forms of Shinobi combat.
I made this thread for fun, hope to hear some replies! It's fine to disagree, but please give some valid proof as to why you disagree
, and if you like to point out anything i missed, please do so! I would appriciate it! Thanks!

As the Hokage, and the student of both Hashirama and Tobirama, Hiruzen was a Very strong Shinobi. I believe that he is Heavily underrated here on the base, he has even been called Jounin level and Low-Kage level at times.
It's a fact that Hiruzen in old age was very weak compared to his young self

While being old, and way past his prime, he still managed to hold his own against Orochimaru and Two Reincarnated Hokage without losing composure. Ofcourse, i won't overlook the fact that Orochimaru was toying with him during almost the whole fight, but at the same time, Hiruzen was hesitating heavily at the start, and once he finally was determined to win, he was confident in his abilities and knew where he stood.
He managed to deflect attacks, while robbed of his eye sight, and his skill with Enma was great enough to seemingly overwhelm Orochimaru without much difficulty.

Ninjutsu
Hiruzen is, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest of all time in terms of Ninjutsu.
He was the only known person to ever master all 5 Nature Transformations without a Kekkei Genkai to aid him.
Him being an Edo Tensei surely benifited him here, but since he got revived as he was right before death, Old Hiruzen could replicate this feat (Although i think it would drain his Chakra levels to almost 0).
This greatley prooves that his Chakra was VERY strong, although he didn't have nearly as much as he did in his Prime.
The building also cracked once he released his chakra, similar to what Tobirama did, although at a smaller scale.
He was also credited to knowing and being able to use all Ninjutsu within Konoha, excluding Kekkei Genkai techniques.
Here he seemingly uses the Inuzuka clans amplified sense of smell to find an opponent in complete darkness.

In terms of speed, his Shunshin was portrayed as being equal to Tobirama and Hashiramas
He managed to react to, and semi-dodge an attack from Juubtio, one of the fastest characters shown in the manga

Hiruzen was Nicknamed the Professor, and he was one of 3 who held the title God of Shinobi.
At age 69, he was still the strongest among the 5 Kage.
He was said to be the strongest out of all the Hokage (This one is really hard for me to accept, to be completly honest. I don't think that he is stronger than Hashirama.

Hiruzen was made Hokage at a very young age, somewhere inbetween 16-19 is what i think. He was also the longest reigning Hokage, so ofcourse he was bound to make some misstakes. The biggest ones were that he was way too compassionate, and let Danzo handle the Dark sides of the village (One topic of debate recently is if Danzo ever used Kotoamatsukami on Hiruzen, i for one believe this was the case)
His second one was not dealing with Orochimaru. This misstake got him killed in the end.
I still have to give him some credit, being Hokage for that long, he was bound to make some misstakes.
