I finally figured out my perfect reaction to the Hank/Antman casting news. I even used gifs!
Initial reaction:
If the movie is good, my reaction will be:
And if it's bad:
If they do my theory I posted before about time traveling old Hank meeting young Hank, who is played by Paul Rudd, who was mysteriously never called by an actual name other than Antman or Science guy or Ant dude (Apparently the Ninja turtles is in this film too) or perhaps Scott Lang was an alias because he doesn't want pulled into the mess.

Random Antman film rant/wishful thinking theory.
Short summary: I am not okay with an the seemingly lack of a major role for Hank Pym in Avengers: Age of Ultron, an older Hank Pym, and Hank Pym not being Antman.
Believe it or not, Antman was one of my, if not my most anticipated film of 2015. When I woke up today, all of that excitement evaporated. I was a little worried that Hank Pym wouldn't be as involved in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron as he should be because you know, Ultron is his thing, but I was still hoping for a cameo in that film. If he wasn't in it, no biggie. He would have his entire film coming up in 2015. I was looking forward to his characterization and Paul Rudd was a blank canvas for me. I had no idea how he could do, but I was looking forward to a great movie with a great character. Hank Pym's story of why he is Antman, why he is against violence, his relationship with Jan, his fall into Yellowjacket, and his coming back to reality is so interesting to me. I love it all and was awaiting to see that on screen. So, the issue is none of this is happening. You can't tell all of that in some sentence referencing his past, which is what they'll probably do. It takes a film and a role in Avengers, maybe 2 appearances. Hank Pym is so different from the rest of The Avengers. Captain America, Ironman, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Widow all are willing, some actually enjoying it, to use violence to help for the better of everyone. Hank is the one to go against the grain. His entire deal is to talk it through without violence. That's one of the reasons it hurts so bad to not get any of that in the next movie, especially since it revolves around Hank's biggest mistake, Ultron. Yes, they could and might reference it in the movie, but it's not the same. Casting an older actor is a bad decision since it hinders what he can do in a movie filled with mostly younger actors. Plus, I'm not sure anyone wants to see an old man in a costume nor do they want to see an old woman as Wasp. Speaking of Wasp, COME ON. I was so so so excited to see Hank & Jan as I love their relationship. I doubt we'll see it and I don't want to see two old people doing it. BECAUSE THEY MIGHT DIE. Yes, I'm sure the performances will be good. I'll like the references, but it's not the same. Basically, all my excitement is gone, you know?
Hank Pym "Antman" and Janet Van Dye "Wasp" are core parts of The Avengers to me and it really saddens me to not get them in The Avengers nor in an Antman film. I'll only getting some sort of fraction of what could have been by past stories, I assume, since we have an older Hank Pym. I'm just saddened by this because I was looking forward, massively looking forward, to Hank Pym as Antman w/ Jan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I wanted to see everything I mentioned before onscreen or at least what you can do in film. I don't hate Scott Lang. His story is okay. I like Scott, but Hank is my favorite Marvel character ever and it just saddens me as a fan to not get the character I love. They can put an the Hank they want in Avengers 2 as a cameo and in Antman as a villain/mentor, but this is not my Hank Pym. Since it isn't, all my excitement is gone. I should note everything about Wasp is an assumption because we have no idea. Honestly, I'm grasping for straws at hoping she'll even be in the film as a love interest for Hank. Knowing my luck, they'll either just reference Jan or worse, make Jan Scott's love interest, leaving Hank old and alone.
In other news, I hope, somehow, this is all a ruse and Paul Rudd is Hank Pym too. Michael Douglas is Hank from the future after Thanos has attacked the world. He narrowly escaped to tell his past self that the although he turned The Avengers down (because he Ultron mess), the world needs him more than ever for the attack to come. This leads to Hank joining the team, along with Jan. Let's hope one crazy fan hope/theory comes true, right?
Marvel, please stop this. Between Shield, Ironman 3, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in Avengers, and this, I just feel bad. How is the company that made Avengers and Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (looks fantastic, but currently judging based on my love for the first one and the trailer), doing this? Can't everything can't be golden. At least there's still hope for Black Panther.....right?
