My Pathway of Light
A shining silhouette, in the all-reaching darkness,
I reach towards it, in the hopes of making discovery,
The figure vanishes, leaving in my hands only a faint sparkle,
I hear it…her whisper, and with that, a path created to begin the recovery.
Along the road, my pathway of light vanishes,
Lost and helpless, I begin to lose my hope,
But determined I am, to see where the figure lies, and road finishes,
Even if I must travel across the globe.
The figure of light appears once again,
I reach out to her, in an attempt to get a glimpse,
Our hands meet, and the light floats away,
To reveal her beauty and kindness, which was seen just by first glance.
Hope and gentleness, the only feelings she conveyed,
Which is the reason I sought her, the reason I love her,
Because she is no liar or fiend, no such masquerade,
And to think that my feelings have yet to fully spur.
