Haha well the thing is, this particular character has stages to his design.
In the story I've been writing, there are five parts to it and in each part he has different outfits. He has more armor in other designs.
But with this design, this is how he looks like in the final part of the story. He's supposed to be "enlightened' so I wanted him to have a more light-armor Asian look.
Those tattoos symoblize his newly awakened power. In this final part of the story, the character has matured, so I wanted to make him look divine and wise.
When you look at him, I want people to instantly realize that this is a heroic persona.
He's not supposed to wear heavy bulky armor because he's nimble.
That makes more sense if thats his final power up form. I can't really see a character showing himself like that in the beginning of the show. You comes off as an already powerful and heroic figure. His design could have fit better into a comic book.
