that's some wild assumptions.
influenced yes but it lacks a lot of the typical shonen tropes.(hence why it's never called anime)
again this is a pretty big assumption. You're using broad terms here. A legitimate fan of anything would take the source material into consideration.
If you feel that way....
I honestly don't see what the problem is. If they're just friends taking a trip? Good 4 them. After losing a parent, almost losing a company, getting shamed left and right, and poisoned you'd expect it.
If their gay 4 each other? Y not. Asami is the only one she confides in and Asami is the only one willing to drop everything in korra's time of need. It would be a great start.
Oh i have no problem with the gay or straight. My problem is a relationship. Fans want make this into "canon".. while it not being canon. Neither it being implied to be canon. For it to be implied canon, there needs to be a previous implication of their romance. Which never happened. Hence, the implied "canon", is nothing but non-existent, and media hype.
No, it wasn't considered an anime, because it was supported by Americans. And the original show was an american cartoon. Thats basically the major reason.
Avatar the last air bender = mostly eastern influenced, with little bit of western. << Not an assumption, but an observation.
Legend of korra = modern eastern or you can say "western" , with eastern morals put in there... << Not an assumption, but an obervastion.
The idea of an "avatar" is based on an eastern belief in a "avatar", that goes back into hinduism. So i'm not making assumptions, simply stating the observations.
