This is going to revolve around The Legend of Korra and the last episode of Korra elements and some elements in Naruto and this is not intended to be a bashing post. This is just my opinion on how I feel about some of these things.
I really like the way different things are developed in Korra and I wish Naruto had some of this elements like:
-A well developed main heroine
-well developed females
-well developed support characters
-good ending
-a balance between action and romance
-well written romance
Naruto elements that I have a problem with:
-the development of Sakura Haruno- She is my favorite character and all but I don't think she was developed like she should have been. To me it has always seemed as if she has had a lot of short comings when it came to her male counterparts, Naruto and Sasuke. She had the potential to be developed better but Kishimoto stated that he is not good with female development. In Korra,Korra started off as an immature,hot-headed teen but as the show progressed she became more mature and more level headed. She was a pretty strong female and display independence.
-The Development of the females in Naruto- like Sakura the develop of many of the other females were under their main counterparts. Often being weaker or depended upon the male counterpart. In Korra the females were pretty developed and not really depended upon males and had some amazing roles. For example Jinora became a master air-bender and learned how to talk to spirits and Asami was useful in fights even without powers. Su and Lin were also amazing fighters that were pretty developed. Also Asami and Korra both got over Mako and realized they didn't need him. In Naruto it seems like Sakura and Hinata characters were developed to "need" Naruto/Sasuke. Because It was toootally fine when Naruto ignored Hinata's confess for two years and it was soo cool when Sasuke attempted to kill Sakura(saracsm)... Apperently that is what Hinata and Sakura want(sadly). A guy who doesn't consider your love for two years and someone who wanted you dead...yea.
-The supporting characters(like the males)- The development for the support characters was pretty good in Korra but in Naruto it seems as if the support characters were often forgotten. People like Lee, Choji, and others didn't do much like they did in part one of naruto.
-The ending- Korra ending came pretty fast (because of nick...)but it was balanced and well-written. Naruto ending on the other hand (in my opinion) seemed rushed and not fulfilling. The elements in the Naruto ending wasn't balanced out well to me. Naruto fought Sasuke and than Sasuke said Naruto won(even though I felt like it was a draw). Sakura showed up and Sasuke apologized and Sakura just accepted it after all that stuff that happened with her like the genjustu that she was just under. Than we had the chapter 700 time skip that was just mainly just pairings. Sure, we saw Naruto become hokage but it seemed as if it was rushed off for the pairings. As if it wasn't as signficiate as them or at least that is how I saw it. In Korra it seems like everything was balanced out in those last two episodes even the love( with Varrick and Zhu Li Moon). Sure it was fast pace development but it was still developed better than the Naruto pairings that was one-side or nonexistent until chapter 700. Even Kishimoto stated he was bad with love.
I just wish Kishimoto and/or his editors would have did better.
