That doesn't negate anything I said in the rest of my post. You have posted more about Sakura in your short span at NB than me since 2009 and that's saying something. Unlike you, I don't dwell on the things I don't like all that much and move on.

You are making almost identical posts with a set pattern ever since you joined. How am I putting you on the spot? You are seeking it out by addressing a single line from a post which has little value without the context and trying to make it appear like something big. An d it's not the first time I am seeing you doing it.

I am not going to get into same debate with same people over and over who always respond in a definite way with predictable responses. It's boring.

That was only one example. And you did try to make it about Sakura again just now^. I didn't bring it up in the post you just replied, did I?

I was referring to your whole attitude towards the manga, characters, writers in a section you seem have made your residence constantly. I don't see you participating in rest of the forum with some nice positive discussions either. Rather out of character for people who really read many mangas etc and like to discuss something they like. Maybe combined with your location, status and previous ava everything makes me not to take you seriously. :shrug:

There are members with whom I like to talk and discus things despite disagreeing severely on certain topics. I may even seek them out at times for mutually enjoyable debates. In the same way, I get tire of the people who dwell on the same negative issue for forever. That's just me.

-the development of Sakura Haruno- She is my favorite character and all but I don't think she was developed like she should have been. To me it has always seemed as if she has had a lot of short comings when it came to her male counterparts, Naruto and Sasuke. She had the potential to be developed better but Kishimoto stated that he is not good with female development. In Korra,Korra started off as an immature,hot-headed teen but as the show progressed she became more mature and more level headed. She was a pretty strong female and display independence.

Glad there's a Sakura fan who actually said this. I guess all aren't bad.

OP was making a comparison between Korra and Sakura. It seemed you were saying that she shouldn't make that comparison because she wasn't a main character. So I figured that correct you. Sorry if I misinterpreted what you were saying.

Sakura is only one of the main characters along with rest of the Konoha 11 and Kakashi. Her importance being a little extra for being in the same team as Naruto and Sasuke. Korra is the main lead- it's legend of Korra just like Naruto is the lead - and the manga is about Naruto's journey to becoming a legend. If you add more to the mix - lead for OP is Luffy but Zoro and Nami and rest of SH would be counted among main characters.

I think you know the difference but your attitude towards the manga made you miss that point above^. Sorry if I was confused about the reason why you failed to notice that.

Korra was the MC. Here Naruto is the MC. Different lives. Did you want Sasuke and Naruto to kiss under the moon light in the end? (Not that I would have mind. Naru/Sasu for the win)

ON another note, I wonder what do you think of Sai and baby 5's love story of convenience? Point is such comparisons are meaningless.

Kishi didn't plan or focused on female characters specifically. He wasn't sure what do with them and accepted he didn't know how to handle them. That's no secret. But seeing that next series has Sarada as Sasuke's and Sakura's daughter and Kishi's verse where hereditary palys an important role I am slightly curious what he is going to do. Maybe he would do better this time, maybe not. I just know that I won't be picking Kishi's story for strong female characters.

Other than that Avatar series, Magi etc give me same kind for feeling and while both are good series that I would recommend to others but they couldn't really hook me up. I randomly read chapters and then forget about it.



You find it a great choice only because it gives you a kind of cultural nod- something you would like to be promoted. Other people may disagree on that because of their personal choice. - and right there flame wars over that clash of ideologies were already on about that ending too. And yea both side feel they are being righteous about it. Though it's less antagonizing to many since it's two girls. I wonder what the reactions would be if it were Ang and Sokka back then.

Main females. I was talking about main females. Is Naruto a female? No.My point is that she wasn't developed like a main female. She was like a side character. Sure Naruto is the Main main character but the main heroine wasn't developed right. I felt it would have been nice if she was developed like Korra.

You wanting female lead or more more importance doesn't change that many would like guys in the lead too. Not all series can be about females only. I doubt that would be fair for guys either to make them secondary when the genre is shonnen.

Avatar or LoK are not mangas but animated series from another country. They are not following same genre or themes.

Legend of Korra has one of the garbage endings of all time.. rofl. And please don't blame Nickelodeon for shitty writing. They could've done a better story while within their budget, but they chose not to.

I give credit to legend of Korra, for having the Asami and Korra bond, like the Sasuke and Naruto bond.. something that lacking in main stream regarding females. But like with Naruto/Sasuke bond, its now being taken into a romantic relationship.. but eh thats a different topic. But I do give credit to legend of korra for that.


Overall, I'm very glad that series of Naruto isn't like Korra. But Korra's music beats Naruto's anyday.

Please define a "bad character". All character's are made to do a specific part. If we were to put down Sasuke/Kakashi and etc.. 1 phrase is enough "Naruto's B*tches".. only relevant due to Naruto Uzumaki.

Comparing Sakura to Katara would be more appropriate than Korra.

Aang=Naruto(Protagonist)

Zuko=Sasuke(Deuteragonist)

Katara=Sakura(Tritagonist)

Though Katara is also much better written than Sakura.

Have you considered the fact that writer developed the characters which he wanted for his story? BTW Hinata is more like Katara here. Avatar series is an American project not a manga. It's not following the same trends in manga. You are trying to enforce that suggestive lesbian ending for Korra would work for something like Naruto and somehow make it look cool or what? But in Japan it would not be called just shonnen anymore but classed as yaoi manga.
