This theory is based on 3 things:
1. The uchiha gain power through loss of those close to them
2. There exist in naruto a life swap jutsu (when chiyo brought gaara back to life)
3. Izanagi in Japanese mythology travelled to the underworld to bring his wife back to the world of the living
I believe Izanagi is a jutsu that sacrifices someone close to you to protect your life (or possibley vice-versa). This is why the uchiha banned it. You may be thinking that danzou probably doesnt care about the uchiha's on his arm. But that is why he has shisui's face on his shoulder. The sharingan eyes on danzou's arm belong to people important to shisui. We saw in the latest manga that the 'wolf, ram, sheep' (or whatever it was) activates this ability so it can autocast (for lack of a better word) but also drains his chakra (which is why he used the release seal after sasuke couldnt move).
Each time danzou dies, an eye closes (person dies) and he comes back.
