OK, my first post here so bear with my rambling lol.
Point 1:
I think they're clearly trying to introduce the Original Sage (sorry, dunno what term you guys refer to him as.. the moon-making guy) as the New Bad.
If you look here, at what Konan says: img.onemanga.com/mangas/00000004/000186712/01.jpg (sorry, first post so cant paste proper URL links)
She calls Nagato the 7th Pain, but is she referring to him when she says "the one who controls the Rinnegan"/"they say he is outside life and death"? I think whilst she herself may well be referring to Nagato, the sentence is intentionally worded this way to further build on the little tidbits we've slowly learnt of the impending villain.
This would sort of make sense too, in the sense that Tobi must be killed/dealt with to protect Konoha, but Original Sage must be killed/dealt with to absolutely revolutionise the ninja-system world he built.
Point 2:
I just saw this quote in another thread and I thought it was interesting:
Point 3:
Didnt Danzo get ready to stage a coup for the control of the village? Maybe he will still try. Perhaps he succeeds in killing Tsunade, I dont know. Just in time maybe for Sasuke and crew to enter. Sasuke would probably get to kill Danzo, avenging his brother to some degree, before turning his sights on ruined-Konoha itself.
Obviously at this point, Sasuke and Naruto must face off in some way. Something will clearly come to light about what Itachi passed onto Naruto as well was the extent of Sasuke's Uchiha powers over the Kyuubi. Obviously Naruto is going to find a way to keep his promise to Itachi to save the village and Sasuke.
Point 4:
This is probably going to infuriate Original Sage/Tobi who must re-group their minion forces to now take on the combined forces of Naruto/Sasuke/Hawk/Konoha/Sand/Amegakure/Sound?. Note Konoha's allies in Sand & Amegakure (and maybe Sound), two/three previously volatile/unfriendly villages. This is Naruto's influence in changing the ninja world in action, both directly and indirectly.
Original Sage/Tobi's group? Zetsu, Kisame and the remaining unseen Swordsmen and The Mist and whoever else we learn of/havent met yet. This also sets up for the promised fight between Kisame and Suigetsu.
Point 5:
In the mean time, Naruto needs to have some kind of meeting with Killer Bee to learn to control his Kyuubi possibly? Sasuke can heal, I guess. Konoha can rebuild. Kakashi would be the new Hokage. There's no other real candidates from his generation is there?
Point 6:
Final confrontation. Whatever happens, happens. Whoever dies, dies. The ninja system is destroyed, and the hidden villages just become villages probably. Maybe in the far future Naruto is offered the role of head of village/Hokage. He'll probably turn it down. Administrative work isnt in his nature, he's too free-spirited and probably roams around like Jiraya. His job is to fix the broken structure of the world (Or maybe he settles down with whoever/Hinata?), fulfilling the prophecy in whole about Jiraya's students.
Instead, the job of Hokage is passed onto Shikamaru. He has the mental aptitude and the Will of Fire. Besides, he finds it troublesome to leave the village.
..
I'm sure I forgot a bunch of things I wanted to mention, but I tried to fit in what I could. Feel free to criticise and comment as you'd like
Apologies for any rushed typing errors btw.

I think I agree with this theory. I think Izuna/Tobi may be 'using' the Original Sage to get revenge on Konoha for Madara's disgracing/death in the same way Sasuke is using Tobi to get revenge on Konoha for Itachi's disgracing/death.devlin said:izuna uchiha>madara uchiha
I believe in my opinion that if we follow this trend that izuna beat madara as sasuke did itachi (this is just my opinion) i believe tobi is izuna.I believe something may have happened to madara in the fight between the 1st or the 4th which would lead to izuna wanting revenge (this would go in sync with sasuke wanting revenge for what happened to itachi and his clan
