I just got a letter in the mail saying that I've been invited to Corban University in Salem, OR.

I looked up the school on Google, it's supposed to be a pretty good school with a 43% acceptance rate.

The letter also congratulates me on my "high school accomplishments".

Here's the problem, I think this letter is fishy.

The thing is that my high school accomplishments were average at best. I played 2 sports and had a 3.4 GPA. I didn't even do outstanding on my SAT's.

So this letter is just weird, wanting an average student to go to a private Christian school.

I need advice.

Read up on the minimum SAT required to join that university as well as its location--buildings, staff, clubs, notable people who graduated from it--any of these would legitimize the college for you.

If you still have doubts you can always call the admissions office but University admissions are not based on the accomplishments only it also depends on the Statement of Purpose and the Recommendations you sent with your applications.

Plus GPA doesn't always show that you are genius. every person is good at something may be you persistence got your application through.

If the letter is genuine then Congratulations and if not then better luck next time
