Hello, everybody. Allow me to partially introduce myself.
My name's Jon. I am 27 and I live Atlanta, GA. I've been a keen follower of Naruto for many countless years and I thought that I would finally introduce myself and give credit to Kishi. If you all would do me the honor of reading my thread, I would appreciate it very much. If not, then that is also fine and I thank you for attempting to read it.
With that being said... I'm usually extremely silent on these forums and haven't even bothered to create threads of my own... I've always kind of just lurked in the shadows. Nonetheless, I've been around on NarutoBase for a *very* long time (way, wayyyyy back when the site was first conceived.) Anyway, I've been heavily involved with Naruto and all of its lore (I consider myself to be **extremely** knowledgeable with any and everything that is related to the Naruto series) since as far back as I can remember. For many, many, many years, my weekly routine would be to wait for the weekly manga/anime to release. Admittedly, I picked up Naruto around 2003, so I didn't pick it up the very moment it was released, but that's only 3 1/2 years out of 15 which is very negligible.
Now... I won't lie... My eyes got watery when it was first revealed by Kishi that the last chapters of Naruto would be 699-700. Questions started rolling through my mind, like: 'there is so, so very much that I want answered, how (or will?) they give answers to my many numerous questions?', and 'what am I going to do in my spare time on Wednesdays/Thursdays, when I was sooo very accustomed to waking up, taking my morning dump, and reading the manga?' I have so many memories and experiences pertaining to growing up with this show. I remember having an all-out marathon with my younger brother about 8 years ago and watching every single episode released to date. He is 21 now, and I can't believe how little he used to be when we had this marathon and makes me truly miss my little brother so very much. Thinking about it right now honestly brings back so many emotions and, truth be told, my eyes are even more watery than they were when I first started writing this thread.
Despite what everyone may think... Naruto was an amazing series. Yes, there were times that the show was just so bad and some things just felt so out of place... But those are the times that you just have to roll with the punches and I continued to accept it for what it is, and I continued to love the show that I've committed so much of my life to. I can say without a single second thought in my mind that from every part of my being, I thank Kishi for impacting my life in such an incredible way and for allowing me the HONOR and the PRIVILEGE of being a part of something truly amazing.
From the very bottom of my heart: thank you, Kishi, for giving me something to look forward to for the last 12 years of my life and impacting me in ways I can hardly start to express.
