Kakashi only really "wanked" Naruto in the war because he saw young Obito's dreams living through him. All of his praise prior to that is merely a master being proud of his growing student

Reread chapters 34-36
Gaara - Lee - and Neji all went up to Sasuke and asked for his name.Gaara clearly rejected Naruto having no interest in him,Lee rejected him,and Neji didn't ask for his name.During each of these times Naruto clearly gets jealous over Naruto - he even challenges Lee out of jealousy that Lee wanted to fight Sasuke instead of him.
"God Damn It!!! It's always Sasuke!!!!"
It's like those guys forgot many of these moments from part 1 yet act like Naruto is better than Sasuke from Sasuke praising Naruto about how he had what he didn't have - friendship and love.

Ofcouse Naruto and Sasuke weren't equals,if that were the case then Naruto wouldn't have been so jealous of Sasuke so much,always trying to catch up to him.

Sasuke was simply jealous that Naruto had the strength he didn't which is Love and Friendship.
Sasuke never said Naruto was better than him,stop changing the story.And the manga clearly shows that Sasuke was better than Naruto - which Naruto himself obvoiusly knew.

I agree that they weren't equal before Gaara fight... After Gaara fight Sasuke turning into jealous one.
You're taking out of context Sasuke's personality. For prideful power-hungry character like Sasuke easier to admit that someone better than him in terms of power than something else.

Hah, as if. Sasuke will never become a cheerleader like Gaara or Kurama (Kakashi isn't that obsessed, plus, Naruto is his student, after all). The most he'll say is something like: "Hn, yeah, i acknowledge him" with a whatever face and that's that. Obviously he simply considers him a friend, but that's light years away from "wanking".
Sasuke won't ever stop being the badass that he is, no need to worry. His attitude towards Naruto can best be described as cold respect, just like a real Samurai.

You can't honestly say Sasuke was jealous of Naruto when Naruto was performing so well thanks to the Kyuubi.Sasuke did not now a Gigantic living entity with massive amounts of power gave Naruto the chakra to summon Gamabunta,and later again to finish Gaara.
If he did then he wouldn't have been thinking - "This is Naruto" - no,it's not all Naruto.
And do you honestly believe Naruto could of done well against Sasuke at the begining of part 2? Naruto himself said he was weak,he said that knowing his over all power was nothing compared to Sasuke.
Sasuke said I WANT Itachi's eye's - there's a big difference between I WANT and I NEED,Naruto said he needs the Kyuubi's power to fight Sasuke,while Sasuke just wanted more power to beat Naruto with,"I want to crush him with my full powers."
As for the bolded,that was at a completely different stage then the part 1 moments of Sasuke being jealous of Naruto's performance against Gaara.

It wasn't just Naruto,and he didn't progress so far in such a short time.
At the begining of part 2,as soon aa Sasuke saw Naruto going Kyuubi he went inside his subconscoius to shut the Kyuubi down,so saying Naruto would go 3 Tails fails.

Sasuke stopped the Kyuubi without physically moving an inch as soon as he saw Naruto going Kyuubi.I doubt Sasuke would stand there and watch Naruto load up all the way to 3 Tails.

He temporarily lost eye sight,and after some rest he was back in full condition.From the Summit,he used his eyes alot,it was never said that he wqs going blind,that was assume.He would probably be fine after some rest.
He choose to get Itachi's eyes to increase his power because he wanted too.He didn't say,"I'm going blind,i need Itachi's eyes."
