Chapter 662: A Farewell Gift
*From where we last left…*
Naruto: A gift?
Kurama (thinking): No way, is he talking about…
Minato: *Smiles* Yeah, a gift…*Looks down at his hand still placed in his abdomen*Although I don’t think I can really call it a gift…after all it always belonged to you.
Naruto: You`re getting me curious dad, what are we talking about?
*Minato`s hand slightly spins and suddenly a red aura appears around Minato, as if responding to it, Naruto enters his KCM (Kyuubi Chakra Mode)*
Naruto: What the-
Minato: Its responding…
Naruto: Dad…this chakra…
(Inside Naruto`s head)
Kurama: Good to see he kept it safe…
Naruto: Kurama! What is he talking about?
Kurama: Naruto, do you remember the story your mother told you? Do you remember what Minato did before sealing me inside you?
Naruto: If I remember right…Dad used the Demon consuming seal to- *Sudden Realization*…to split your chakra into Yin and Yang….he gave me the Yang but the Yin….
Kurama: Yes. He sealed the Yin away…but…apparently he kept it safe.
(Back to the real world)
Minato: You figured it out already?
Naruto: Yeah…
Minato: Naruto what im about to do will be difficult. It will take some time for you to take control of the chakra…I recommend you sealing the Kyuubi with it so it can fuse with it once again.
Naruto: Seal him?! But dad-
(Inside Naruto`s head)
Kurama: Do it.
Naruto: What?! But Kurama-
Kurama: Don’t worry bout me, kit. It won’t be very long. All I need is to get used to the chakra again. If you seal me with the chakra it would be easier for me to get the job done. Just me, myself and I. No distractions.
Naruto: Well…if you say so…
(Back to the real world)
Minato: Are you ready, Naruto?
Naruto:…*Places his hand on his abdomen*Yeah.
Minato: Then lets begin….
*Minato and Naruto appear in a room with a cage (like the one Kyuubi had) behind Minato and Kurama behind Naruto*
Naruto: What the hell?! Where…where are we?
Minato: A link between both our subcounscious, it will be needed if we are to seal the Yin chakra inside you. Hey there, Kyuubi.
Kurama: Call me Kurama.
Minato: Hmm, Ok then. Then shall us begin this, Naruto?
Naruto: *Looks at Kurama with a sad expression* See you, Kurama.
Kurama: See ya, Kit.
Minato: Then lets do this….*Opens his seal and suddenly a huge blast of chakra comes out of it, opening the gate, Kurama claps its hands togheter and the chakra starts to spin around the fox*
Kurama: Now Naruto!! Ill leave you a bit of my chakra in case you find yourself in a tough situation!
Naruto: *Nods* Eight Sign Seal. *Places the seal on his abdomen and spins it, causing gates like the ones he previously had to appear and close itself, before sealing Kurama and his chakra away*
Minato: Its done...
(Back to the real world)
Naruto: Kurama….*Places his hand over his abdomen with a sad expression*
Minato: Don’t worry, Naruto…once the chakra fusion is ready you may unseal him…
Naruto: Yeah, I know dad. But what about you?
Minato: Me…? Well…my time in this world is done…
Naruto: What ? Really? Do you have to go?
Minato: Naruto…*Takes off his cloak* Has Kakashi ever told you about the concept of the new and the old generations?
Naruto: Yeah, dad…the previous generation…
Minato:…will always be surpassed by the new…and that’s where I failed, Naruto. I failed with my students….even though Obito surpassed me…there is only one person that can surpass him…*Leaves the fourth Hokage`s cloak on Naruto`s shoulders* That’s you, Naruto….if this is true and the previous generation is deemed to be surpassed…then the only one who can stop Obito is you…*Minato`s body starts turning into small pieces of paper that are blowed off by the wind*
Naruto: Dad….*His eyes start to tear up*
Minato (thinking): Is it right to me to give him such a task…? After all the opponent…
(Flashback)
*Hashirama fighting against Madara in a battle of Wood Golem vs Perfect Susanoo when suddenly Minato arrives in the scene, landing on the golem`s shoulder, next to Hashirama, who is in the head*
Minato: Lord First! You look like you could use some help
Hashirama: Fourth! I do need help! I need you to distract Madara while I try to gather enough chakra for my slug sage mode!
Minato: Got it! Can you give me a hand!
Hashirama: *Smiles*Sure thing. Wood Style: Palm of Budha
*A wooden hand comes out of the ground, lifting Minato up before throwing him at the V4 Susanoo*
Minato: Alright…lets do this…*four FTG kunai appear in each hand, Minato holds all of them by their handles with his fingers, Minato throws every single one of them at Madara`s direction*
Madara: Humph. Pathetic. *Uses almighty push to throw Minato back against the ground, revealing that he was only a shadow clone and that the real Minato is just above the Susanoo*
Minato: Gotcha… *Throws a Kunai right behind the Susanoo`s head and prepares for a…*FLIYNG THUNDER GOD SLASH!!!*Slashes the back of the Susanoo`s head back and destroys it along with Madara`s back before landing a Rasengan on the Uchiha and throwing him down at the ground*
Madara: Damn you…*Before he hits the ground he reforms the Perfect Susanoo and slashes at Minato, who teleports back to the Wood Golem`s shoulder*
Minato: Are you ready yet?
Hashirama: Im done*The sage marks appears on his eyes and he does a series of handseals* Wood Style: Wood Imprisonment!! *Giant tree roots come out of the ground and starts to crawl around the Perfect Susanoo`s body*
Madara: Almight Push!! *The wood is destroyed and Madara prepares both his Susanoo`s Katanas for a slash at the Golem`s body* You shouldn’t underestimate me…HASHIRAMA!!!*The Susanoo Slashes at the golem`s body and Madara closes his eye and looks intensily at Hashirama*
Minato (thinking): He`s collecting chakra on his left eye…this cant be good. *Jumps at Hashirama, grabs his shoulder and disappears with him a moment before Amaterasu hits the Golem`s head*
Madara: Hum…they escaped…
*Minato and Hashirama reappear on another part of the battlefield*
Minato: Are you ok, lord first?
Hashirama: Yeah…I just…
Minato: What is it?
Hashirama: Madara is stronger than when we last met, its true but the difference of it is ridiculous…
Minato: Can you handle him?
Hashirama: That…I think I can.
Minato (thinking): For the first Hokage to be nervous…
Minato: I need to go back to fighting the Juubi along with Lord third.
Hashirama: Go. Leave Madara to me…
*Minato disappears and Hashirama gets up, just for Madara to arrives in his perfect Susanoo, landing in front of Hashirama*
Madara: Don’t think you`ll escape our fight so easily…
Hashirama: …*Makes a tiger handseal* I know.
(Flashback end)
Minato (thinking): He indeed said Madara had gotten stronger…and so did Obito…but I have no longer a choice…
Minato: Naruto…*Grabs Naruto`s hand and puts something in it, he also says some words to Naruto, we are unable to see what he says to Naruto, however the boy seems to be clearly shocked by it, Minato slowly disappears, Naruto then opens his hand to see what Minato left for him, whatever it is, it opens a smile on Naruto`s face. He lets it fall to the ground and dresses his cloak properly and walks away in direction of the battlefield*
Naruto (thinking ): Dad…I wont forget your words…
*Minato`s voice starts to repeat his words on the back of Naruto`s head*
Minato (In Naruto`s head): Naruto…I know this is unfair with you…leaving such a responsibility to my son…Im must be an horrible parent…look, I have one last request for you…this war is different from any other war, we`ve all seen that. It’s a war we are fighting together for peace… and I know this is not gonna be easy…but I am coutning on you…please Naruto… *We see what Minato gave Naruto earlier fallen on the ground and its revealed to be a leaf*…protect this ninja world.
Extra Note: Now I mimicked two things in this chapter the latest chapter in the manga and the end of Naruto storm 3…what? Good ideas shouldn’t be wasted… Like giving Naruto a cloak! Just look at my avatar and tell me he dosent look badass!
