I'll post my attempts to draw something like anime here

So this is my first try to draw a face :

I tryed to draw male character face , but it went so freaky that I wanted to burn it lol
I was using a pen so couldnt erase circles and mistakes :|

I guess I will go buy some pencils tomorrow

Nice! I'm also trying to draw anime by hand (but have no scanner to show). I also draw faces by making the circles as you, step by step.

I found out it is sometimes easier to use ovals instead of circles. This allows you to place the guiding line for the eyes right in the middle, so if you want characters to turn round it is easier. Also, that you can draw a guiding circle above the head to make the hair.

To show you what I mean, I tried to do them in Painbrush, sorry if they look too basic. But as I said, I have no scanner.
