my argument for hinata replacing sakura being the new heroine

sakura has been the main heroine up into to pain invasion, before the pain invasion she has done everything a heroine should do, saving the hero, and supporting him. like she did in naruto's fight agianst orichimaru.

however after the pain invasion she has lost her role to hinata, i don't know why, but it just happened.

in any case the main heroine should've saved the hero from pain, sakura didn't, hinata did. if Hinata hadn't pain would've killed naruto and the series would've been over.

also in chapter 615, naruto was going ot give into Lord obito, if hinata hadn't snapped him out of it.

she even fixed naruto shoulder allowing him to fight obito.

everything that hinata did was what is traditionally the main heroine's role. Hinata has done this sakura hasn't.

i am not bashing sakura, i am simply stating that after the pain invasion hinata has become the main heroine.

its basically like arguing robin vs nami in main heroine, they both have insane roles are incredibly smart, and have more than hinata and sakura have ever accomplished put together.

i think its either hinata has replaced sakura or they are both the main heroines like robin and Nami.

i don't think there's any specific Main Herioine in the series...sakura had a significant role no doubt, but still she remained as a supporting character only.....and during pein invasion that supporting character became hinata...but i must admit according to the screen time given hinata's role has been far more significant compared to sakura....

Sakura is still main heroine by name. She's the official main heroine as decided by Kishi. Kishi said Hinata would fit the role of a main heroine better, but Sakura still has the official title.

The things you said are true (that Hinata did things the main heroine should have) but those specific events were probably more of a way for Kishi to subtly develop Naruto and Hinata's relationship.

Hinata had to be the one to save him from Pain as a means to confess and show how much she cares. The same for 615 pretty much. That scene was to show the fact that Naruto finally realized that Hinata has always been by his side (as he thanked her for it)

it's implied that it's supposed to be the case, Sakura,Naruto,Sasuke are the main three characters, so I guess it makes sakura the heroine, Naruto the hero and sasuke the villain? although clearly sakura is the least liked for this.

There are more than enough sources and various translations to prove that Kishi did say that. It wasn't in a bad way towards Sakura at all. He was only saying Hinata's background is more complex like a main character's would be, unlike Sakura who had a normal background

I have the source of that interview in japanese. Kishi never said anything about any background. I know you didn't say it towards Sakura, I was referring generally at this interview.
And that thing with the background was never mentioned. He just said he was told by people that Hinata would make a better heroine, he didn't say it himself, on the contrary, he reaffirmed Sakura's role as a heroine.

I say they are equal like Nico robin and nami. one can't simply state robin>nami or Nami>robin, since they are integral to the main hero. without robin Luffy would be dead, without nami would be dead.
