Nice drawing and don't worry, you're not the only one that sucks at shading. I make a drawing in one day and the next 20 days I'm bussy with shading itxd.
Btw the shading is not that bad, besides you don't have much shading, outside the hair.

Since you scanned in grayscale you don't have to worry much about shading. The neck is a bit too long, but other than that great job. Proportions comes with practice so keep at it.
