The Byakugan is better than A 3tomeo sharingan, some people need to sharpen their reading skills. In 3tomeo state, the greatest advantage of a sharingan user is close combat and genjutsu, Itachi used genjutsu to finish Deidera of which genjutsu cannot affect a Hyuuga. They have perfect control of their chakra and can move it inside their body. I don't need to say any more because we all know how dangerous a Hyuuga is in close combat.
Note that Sasuke's advantage over Deidera was due to elements and a hyuuga can see it no matter how tiny. Using weapons on a hyuuga is also useless except if you can make it as fast as Kidomaru's arrow.

Good thread, I agree, the Byakugan is truly superior to the 3t. Still, you should put the "awakening the MS/EMS/Rinnegan" in the pros part rather than the inbetween, as that's a good thing, without a doubt.

Thanks! In regards to your second note, I put the MS/EMS/Rinnegan in the inbetween as it is more than likely that you will be in flooded with hate and have to lose a love you. Its abilities are obviously pros but the cons exist as well. That's why I put it in inbetween ;3

That blind spot is so minusicle a Sharingan user wouldn't even find it out or have difficulty penalizing it. As a plus the Blind Spot can be taken care of as a small step to the right infilling the blind spot with vision.

last time i checked...the byakugan bearer can't fight with his eyes closed.it needs to have his eyes active and open to sense things from all corners

The person can see through anything, including their own eyelids. a perfect example is when Ao activates his byakugan through an eye-patch that is covering his byakugan eye. If they can see through something like that that is literally on their eye, then it is possible that they could see through their own eyelids.

Its just more natural to have one's eyes open when awake.
