Eh, I really just wanted to make sure that all of you people who keep question whether the religion of Islam allows this and that knows the difference between ideology and religion.
Technically speaking, the religion of Christianity does not allow for women to speak, act, etcetera against their man in any way. Truly, the Old Testament and some parts of the New Testament encourages people to do extremely vile things in some of their passages. But, my fellow members, here is the thing: You simply don't do these things, hopefully.
You don't beat women, because you've been taught that it is wrong to do so by society, through the laws of your nation, and through your upbrining and social circle. You treat people with some measure of kindness, not because the Bible, Quran or Tanakh says so, but because you've been brought up to believe that treating people fairly is the right thing to do. Are you following? Because it's pretty simple.
What many don't seem to understand is that, when they ask 'why do you drink when the XXXX says not to do so?' they're not asking whether or not the questioned one is a believer, they're simply asking for specifications in regards to that individuals personal view on his/her religion. Do not mistake ideology, moral values and ethics for religion.
Remember that the Quran isn't the least bit more extreme than any other religious guidebook, its extremists simply get more attention. In all seriousness, those extremists, this goes for all religions, are the least hypocritical of all those whom call themselves a Theist. Remember that.
