All Metal is NOT about the devil (there is a genre specifically for that called Black Metal) and all Rap isn't about money and getting *****es. Can't believe people are still this ignorant when it comes to music, it's ****ing 2014! :vincent:

Pretty sure that applies to mainstream music. Of course, to find better music one has to dig deeper.
Gotta dig deep to find good music these days, thank God for the internet! Gives musicians a chance to make their own little thing without someone telling what to do and forcing them to become someone they aren't. Not saying every mainstream artist is like that.

I am glad I found sites like SoundCloud and to an extent YouTube.

Slayer is considered satanic as well, ironically araya is a catholic and they are not really satanic, talking or singing about a concept you find interesting does not = satanism and they're the big 4 of thrash metal. Hell people even think metallica is satanic lmao, well it just spreads it seems.

True that, but it's hard to find a band that isn't singing about satan or having satanic symbols.
I find it hard to find a band who sings about Satan or praises it.

Mostly black or death metal are involved with those themes. They are not even that mainstream compared to some other genres of metal and rock.

Oh God, look at all these examples of metal bands who dominate tne industry with their sheeer numbers and popularity compared to most other bands!

*Sarcasm*

Slayer is death metal (one of 2 genres i mentioned) while Slipknot is for poser pubescent tryhards.
Slayer is under the Metal genre, and Slipknot is what? We're talking about satanic symbols in Metal.
Slipknot is also under metal, who's talking about them being pubescent tryhards?
Just open your eyes and you'll see it everywhere.

Heavy Metal and any genre is a term being described by it's artists. So of course there will be stereotypes to each genre. Because the artists are defining what it means.

I know about metal. I do not see Satan plastered over everywhere. You just gave 2 examples, 2 examples which are not even matching a load of bands who do not pray to Satan and more popular/influencial than those 2. I did not say Satanic symbols did not exist, i said the metal as a genre does not reek with it.

Slipknot is nu-metal which isn't metal as it is an "alternative" to trad metal.

Not satanic:
Dream Theater
Metallica
Alice in Chains
Wolves in the Throne Room
Agalloch
Ensiferum
Amon Amarth

That's off the top of my head.
Again, satanic imagery is used for SHOCK purposes.
Most of them aren't even serious about satanism.
