Multi posting question

I was told I was multi posting which at the time I didn't really know what that was. I do now. But in the thread that I made I asked a question and when people answered I would respond to certain people if they had something that caught my attention or to agree with them or come up with an opposing or agreeing statement. Now These posts were under naruto Discussion and well I was discussing that topic. So why would that be a bad thing.
I can understand under some instances that people over due things and say little to nothing important. And I may have done that but most of them were more detail.
My question is why is this a bad thing to do? i'm under discussion so that is what I'm doing is discussing the topic.

Multiposting is against the rules, it is annoying, and the mods have deemed it so. If you don't like it, that's your issue. But you can't do it without getting in trouble for it.

To quote more then one post in a post press the button next to the quote button on someone's post and then on the second one you want to quote click the quote button

No I understand that clear I just don't understand why replying to someone is bad it gives more info or thought, given thats what you are posting about. And thus helps the discussion. Like this post I'm doing now. How else do I communicate on this thread to the other person and other people without "multi posting"?

No that makes perfect sense thanks, what do I do if there are other posts after I post? Can I use the edit for that? really sorry I'm in the wrong section by the way I realized that after I made the post. And sorry I did look up a few things but I'm still kinda new and its easier for me actually reading from another member about how to do things. Thanks for the help.

NO. -_- multi-posting was previously allowed ONLY in the forum games section, a rule was then made that multi-posting was no longer allowed there either.

@thread creator, you can multi qoute and type your response between each qoute effectively replying without multi-posting

its there so ppl dont go crazy trying to geth there post count up if u jus use multi quote then u can reply to as many ppl as u want

sumtimesin the middle of a reply sumone will say sumthing that i wanna reply to so ill jus delete my last post and then creat a multipost and ive never had a problem yet so lets hope it stay that way
