((I'm not sure where to put this but it is a story I wrote my self but it isn't about Naruto))
Akira woke up rested and ready to get some breakfast, when her Aunt called for her. "Akira Lin you get your butt down here this minute." "Yes Aunt Hazel. I'm coming." She said putting her slippers and ripped robe on. Akira arrived downstairs shortly after her Aunt called her. "Finally, do you know what time it is missy?" Hazel asked with anger in her voice.
"Its 7:00 a clock Aunt Hazel." Akira said promptly as the clock struck 7 times. "I told you to call me Hazel! Plus you were supposed to be cooking 5 minutes ago you fool!" Hazel stated leaving the kitchen. Akira went straight to work cooking breakfast. "Morning Miss Akira." A soft but strong voice said to Akira. "Morning Ms. Sarah." Akira said to the cook she put the oatmeal in bowls. Akira took them to the dinning room table and placed them on each placemat labeled according to flavor and person.
After her supposed family was done eating she cleaned the mess they left. Akira was getting ready to eat, when the oldest of the 6 children came in the kitchen. "My floor needs to be cleaned." She stated and left. Akira got up to go clean the floor when Sarah stopped her. "You go on and eat Miss Akira. I'll clean the floor and do the rest of your chores today. After you have finished eating go to the library and pick out a book to read." She said handing Akira a library card. "Thank you Sarah, but I can't let you get messed with by those horrible kids." Akira stated setting the card on the table. "Now Miss Akira I'm 25 and your 14. I think I'm capable of dealing with 6 children." Sarah stated smiling at Akira and leaving the room. After Akira finished eating she got dressed and walked to the library.
When she got there she saw many rows of books all in different categories and sections. In the center of it all was a desk with a tall, skinny, and good looking man behind it. Akira walked up to the desk, as she reached for the bell he turned toward her. "Hello young Miss. How may I help you?" he said in a pleasant voice. "Yes, I would like to check out a book." Akira said putting the card on the desk. "Well then have a look and welcome to my library Miss Akira." He said handing the card back to her. "How do you know my name?" She asked baffled. "It's on your library card." He stated confused. "Alright, so what's your name?" Akira asked hoping to make a friend outside that evil place she lived in.
"I'm Mr. Markus Linden, call me Mr. Linden." He stated with a smile. "Alright, I'll see you shortly then." She said walking off to explore the vast collection of books he had. Akira was looking at different types of adventure stories, when she saw some sparkly letters on a book out of the corner of her eye. Akira walked over to it and pulled it out it read "Forest of Untold Stories." She looked over the book more and saw "The Adventure that Never Stops," in pale blue sparkly letters.
Akira quickly took the book in her arms and ran to the desk. "Mr. Linden I found the book I want." She said taking a breath of air. "Alright Miss Akira give me the book and your card." He said sweetly. Akira set the book and card on the desk in front of Mr. Linden. "Wait you can't have this book Akira. It has a horrible curse on it." He stated with wide eyes as he looked at it. "Mr. Linden I don't care if the book has a curse on it as long as it's better than being at home." Akira stated grabbing the book and running out of the library leaving her card on the desk.
When Akira got home she quickly went to her room closing the door and locking it. She set the book down on her bed and went to get changed for bedtime. Akira sat down on the bed and took the book in her hand. Then swung her legs up under the covers and started to read. As she read the books pages seemed to have a white glow to them. Soon Akira found her self getting tired. She slowly drifted into soundless sleep. Akira ended up falling asleep with the book open. Suddenly the pages started glowing with a bright white. Then vines started coming out of the book. These vines incased the room also glowing white.
Akira woke up and looked down at the book. She grabbed it and set it on her night stand. She looked around the room, it seemed normal. But then she noticed a door knob in the center of her bedroom wall. Mr. Linden had warned her about the book. Now it was too late. Akira approached the door knob slowly. As she got closer to it her whole wall started to glow a bright white. When she finally reached the door knob her wall was brighter than anything she had seen. It was so bright Akira had to shield her eyes from it as she reached out and grabbed the door knob.
With a quick jerk and a pull on the knob the door opened. The bright light had disappeared and Akira had found her self in a dark forest. When she turned to leave there was no door or door knob. Now she began to worry about how she was going to get out of this place. "Hello Akira, I am Dalya and you are now in the forgotten forest," a kind, gentle voice said as a tall, pale girl with long white hair appeared in front of her. ?How do you know my name,? she asked confused. ?This book you found connects us to you. But you are the first person to enter our domain. So we welcome you humbly,? Dalya said with a smile.
"Wait! What are you talking about? I need to get back home or there will be hell to pay," Akira stated looking around. "But there is not really a way out, at least from what we know. But of course no one else has ever been here before," Dalya stated looking at her. "What? No way out," Akira shouted, close to bursting with anger.
"Why," a voice cried nearby. Akira walked toward the crying and as she walked Akira herd soft waterfall sound right along with the crying. When Akira finally reached the center of the crying she saw a boy about 15 years old crying by a pool of water as the waterfall splashed quickly down into it. "Are you okay," Akira asked the boy, worried. "Go away! I don?t want to talk to anyone," he yelled turning to Akira with his eyes full of tears and hate.
"Calm down, I just wanted to help," Akira said to the strange boy and turned and started to walk away. "Wait, I'm sorry. That was rude of me. Please come and sit by me," the boy said in a soft, gentle voice. "Why were you crying," she asked, turning back toward him. "It's nothing. Dalya, how did she get here," he said standing and looking at Akira. "She came through the hidden door in the book, but I don't know how," Dalya stated to the boy. "My name is Akira, what is yours," Akira asked him. "I'm Phoenix, Miss Akira," he answered. "It's strange that she should come on this day, don't you think Phoenix," Dayla said in an interested voice. "In fact it is. Akira, you have arrived here on a wonderful night. Tonight is when we can roam free with no worries," he said with an evil smile. Akira found her self strangely attracted to him at this moment. "What do you mean by w?,"Akira stopped talking. "What's wrong," Dayla asked.
But Akira couldn't hear her. She suddenly felt weird and had this strange craving for blood. She then blacked out. Her hair changed from a warm soft brown to dark, bold silver. Her skin went from a pale tan to a pure white pale. Her eyes went from green to bright glowing red. Then her body started to glow a bright blue. She suddenly jumped and grabbed Dayla, pinning her to the ground. Dayla screamed in fear of this sudden attack. Phoenix hid behind the bush, scared out of his mind. Everything went dark and quiet. When Akira woke from her trance-like state she didn't remember anything. She had the taste of blood in her mouth, which frightened her. She then looked around and found her new friend Dayla lying on the ground with a bite on her neck and blood everywhere. This scared her even more. "Akira, why did you do that," Phoenix asked, holding a sword close to his body. "I didn't, I wouldn't, I" she stopped and held her head, trying to remember.
Phoenix dropped the sword and ran to Akira. "It's alright, I know you didn't mean it," he said, pulling her close to him. In his mind he had a burning lust for her ever since he saw her. Phoenix was both scared and attracted to this girl because of how she had bit Dayla and took all the blood she could without killing her. "You changed your whole appearance. How," he asked, with wonder in his eyes. "I did what," Akira asked confused. "You changed your hair, your skin, your eyes, and your nails," he stated with a smile. "What are you talking about," she asked really confused. "I can show you, but you have to have two things. One, I must know how you got that necklace. Two, you must allow me to kiss you. It's the only way I can show you," he stated with honesty in his eyes and voice.
"Alright, I'll tell you about the necklace after you show me what I did," she said touching the stone around her neck lightly. "That's fine. Just remember, this may not be a pleasant sight,"he said, grabbing her lightly and pulling her to him once more. "Just let me see it," she said leaning toward him. He leaned in and gently pressed his lips to hers. She instantly saw a flash of light and then she saw herself changing. Akira knew right away what it was. Suddenly, she saw the strange Akira attack Dayla and bite her on the neck. Tears filled Akira's eyes, as she began to cry. She saw another flash of light and there she was, standing in front of Phoenix. He was bent over breathing heavily. Akira felt a tear drop hit her mouth.
She wondered something, why did Phoenix want to show her that and why would he do that to himself. "Why did you do that," she asked, baffled by her thoughts. "Because I like you and I want you to be able to face your vampire side and become complete," he said, looking away from her. "You like me," was all that she could say. "Yes, I like you a lot," he stated turning red. "I like you too, Phoenix," she said with a small smile, even though he couldn't see it. He turned toward her, smiling and said, "I'll do anything to help you complete yourself." Akira was suddenly so happy that she felt like she was already complete. She looked at him with loving eyes and said, "The necklace is a sign of my birth right. It means I am able to deal with who I am. I can claim leadership of my people. My father told me that before he died." She touched the stone again. It started to glow and a voice spoke, "Well done, Akira, you now have the understanding, control, and love of who you are and what you will be. From now on you will be able to transform whenever you want and be able to control who and what you bite. Well done my child." Then it was gone.
"Akira, there is an exit over here. You can go home now,? Phoenix said, pointing to an open doorway in the woods. ?But now I am a complete person. I don't need that place. This is my home now. I have someone I love and I am happy with both sides of myself. I am stronger by knowing that. So I choose to be free with you, Phoenix," She said closing the door to her room in the human world. She knew that she could go back whenever she wanted because she was free.
The End
