I just got done watching the 7th movie "Mecha Island" and it's got some parts to it that follow the manga. People always complain that the movies aren't canon which they technically aren't as they don't happen in the manga but this one had feats that fit the canon timeline.
First Luffy uses Gear Second for the first time in this movie and does it away from everyone else which leaves their surprise when he does it at Ennis Lobby believable.
Second as the movie ends Luffy says how much with the skypiea loot do we have now and Nami responds enough to fix the merry which leads into the Water 7 arc.
