So... listed above are all the arcs featured in Naruto (manga and non-fillers only). Just a simple poll to see which is most popular amongst the NB community... it's more for my research tho'... I'll probably make a piece of tribute art to the arc voted most popular by next Tuesday too... (assuming anyone votes at all!) xD

I noticed the arcs in Part II become alot shorter. I think the longest arc would have been the Chunin exam in Part I?

Favourite Arc: Search for Tsunade Arc

Why: Itachi and Kisame raiding the Leaf, The Sannin Battle, the BGM that played while the three did Summoning Jutsu, And Gai kicking Jiraiya by an accident.

Favourite character/s in chosen arc: Itachi, Kisame, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Tsunade, Kabuto

Least favourite character/s in chosen arc: Sasuke, he did nothing and Itachi defeated him easily.

What you would have changed: Add a proper battle between Itachi, Kisame and Jiraiya, Release the BGM that i mentioned before.

Least favourite arc: Kazekage Rescue Arc

Why: because i got to cry more imes here then any other arc

What you would have changed: i wuld have have taken out all the flashbacks

Least favourite arc: new team 7 it was a useless mission for nothing

Favourite Arc: Chunin Exams/ Assault on Konoha

Why: The whole world of Naruto broadened vastly here... we got to see more characters, skills, battles and different shinobi from different villages... The story itself became alot bigger from this point on... A main and reoccurring antagonist was introduced... we realise the good guys CAN die in Naruto... and it felt like an epic nod of the head at Akira Toriyama for his battle tournaments in the Dragon Ball series... was very nostalgic.

Favourite character/s in chosen arc: Gaara, Naruto, Rock Lee, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Shikamaru.

Least favourite character/s in chosen arc: Sakura...

Favourite battle/s in chosen arc: Garaa vs Rock Lee, Naruto vs Garaa

What you would have changed: Would have made Sakura improve somehow... Sakura and Ino's fight was rather annoying and pathetic.

Least favourite arc: New Team 7/ Recover Sasuke 2... This arc was rather pointless as has already been said. Only true impact this seems to have had on the overall plot was the addition of Yamato and Sai. For the most part... it was boring.

Favourite Arc: sage training

Haha! Was Sasuke even in that arc? xD It was quite an emotive arc... glad people can appreciate that aspect of the manga.

I know what you mean about the New Team 7 arc... it felt like a canon filler which seems contradictory I know but really... was rather pointless for the most part!

Why: I just loved the battle between Jiraiya and Pain, and I loved the ending of the arc to

I love the Chuin Exams Arc (Favorite in Part 1), but my all time favorite so far is Itachi Pursuit.


Favourite Arc: Itachi Pursuit

Why: I am a huge Hebi fan, mainly Jugo/Suigetsu/Karin. I like Itachi too and that battle with Sasuke was simply amazing. Susano'o! Amaterasu! Fire Style! All my favorites in one place. I think Deidara VS Sasuke is included here and I like Deidara alot, and that fight was also amazing. Sasuke forming Taka/crying and the truth was awesome. Tobi holding off Naruto and the squad, plus a little Kisame Vs Suigetsu, was Amazing pluses! I seriously love this arc.

Favourite character/s in chosen arc: Jugo, Suigetsu, Deidara and Itachi.

Least favourite character/s in chosen arc: Sasuke

Favourite battle/s in chosen arc: Itachi Vs Sasuke, Deidara Vs Sasuke, Kisame Vs Suigetsu (Of what was), and Tobi Vs Konoha (Naruto/team, although it was a little fighr/)

What you would have changed: More Suigetsu vs Kisame, plus Jugo and Karin screentime.

Least favourite arc: New Team Seven (Sai debuts, Sasuke reunites with Team 7, Yamato debuts, as does Danzo. I like Yamato, but hated the arc. I don't lkike Sasuke, Kabuto, Maru, or Sakura. Plus, Kakashi was out XD 4 Tails was cool though.

Favourite Arc:
A tie between Sage Training/Invasion of Pain and Hidan/Kakuzu Arc

Why:
1. The fantastic battle between Pain and Naruto.
2. The moment I cried the most in the anime when Naruto learns about Jiraiya's death.
3. The training.
4. The moment Naruto returns with Sage cape and toads.
5. Nagato's quotes and speech.
6. Pein's blowing Konoha.
7. Hinata's love declaration
8. The moment Minato appears
9. In second arc because, of Shikamaru's ingeniosity.
10. Kakuzu and Kakashi's badass-ness
11. Hidan's lines (in the manga mostly) got me really lol'd
12. Emotional death of Asuma.
13. The moment Shikaku and Shikamru has after Asuma's death is epic for me.
14. Shikamaru all over again and his wicked battle.
15. The first Rasenshuriken and Naruto's speech.
16. The waterfall training episode and variety that Kishi shows us of Shadow clones
17. This two arcs reunites 4 out of 6 of my favorite characters at their best.

Favourite character/s in chosen arc:Naruto, Shikamaru, Kakashi, Nagato (my 4 favs), Hidan, Kakuzu, Konan (because I love Akatsuki)

Least favourite character/s in chosen arc: Sakura, Danzo (for killing the frog) and Tsunade.

What I will have change: Hard one...better presentation in the anime during Kyuubi and Pein's fight, show more of Shikamaru in Pain's invasion and some minor details.

Least favourite arc: Rescue Sasuke Part 2​

Oh, yeah, btw, I'll vote for Hidan/Kakuzu's arc. I like the Sage Training arc equally but since there's nothing important I'll really change in Will of Fire Arc, this gets my vote.

Favourite Arc: Chuunin Exams!

Why: Kishi unveils the entire cast, and we get to see all these great characters - Rock Lee, Neji, Shino, Gaara, Shikamaru, the amazing battles (Rock Lee vs. Gaara! Naruto vs. Neji! Shikamaru vs. Temari!), the test they all had to cheat on, and to top it all off the amazing Hokage fight! Straight bananas.

Favourite character/s in chosen arc: Naruto, Rock Lee (he's never been as important a character as he was in this arc), Shikamaru, and props to Sakura for the haircut

Least favourite character/s in chosen arc: Orochimaru, never thought he was an interesting villain

What you would have changed: Damn, not much! I would've wanted Ino and Sakura's fight to not end in a draw

Least favourite arc: Sasuke retrieval 2 / Team 7 reforms. What an anticlimactic ending! It's basically this -
Orochimaru: We need to go - Sasuke, you can kill your friends on your own time
Sasuke: ok smell ya later

So hard to decide! I could have easily gone with Pein battle or first Sasuke retrieval as well. What a great manga that it's so hard to choose!

Think this might be a topic in the next podcast...

Lol wow! You don't find Orochimaru interesting? To me he will always be the best villain of the series... and Until Akatsuki... he was the main villain... it feels abit empty without him in a way! xD

Well, I think heart-wrenching moments are nice. When you think of it, it's hard for an artist to make someone emotional on anime characters. I barely gets sad on movies/fiction characters and to do that with manga, hats off... So it deserves appreciation.
Nice thread; though it will have been better in the Manga section where we could have thanked you.
btw, the Confining Jinchuuriki Arc and 4th War should be separate, I think

Why:So many new characters introduced & it's kinda where the real downfall of Sasuke begins.

Favourite character/s in chosen arc:Lee, he was epic in his fight v/s gaara, and the consequences made me feel for him.

Least favourite character/s in chosen arc:Sakura, Tenten or Ino, all of them couldn't keep the heat going up.

Favourite battle/s in chosen arc:Lee v/s Gaara

What you would have changed:Nothing

Least favourite arc:Filler arc lol xd

Favourite Arc: Chuunin Exams / Assault on Leaf

Why: This, I think, was where you could see a lot more characters, and be introduced to the different skills people have...it got more interesting here. For instance, the byakugan was introduced, we got to see Shino and his bugs, Gaara and his sand, etc. I thought it was cool to see the students fight against one another, and the tension that was there...it was fun to see people cheat in the exam room as well. XD

Favourite character/s in chosen arc: eh...He's not my ultimate favorite, but Shikamaru was pretty cool in this arc...[Sasuke as well...and Naruto...Hinata, and Orochimaru, Kabuto...many characters were cool in this arc.]

Least favourite character/s in chosen arc: Neji, because I hated his attitude throughout the exams (before he fought Naruto).

Favourite battle/s in chosen arc: Rock Lee VS Gaara

What you would have changed: More action in the Hyuuga fight, because I expected more action...same with Ino/Sakura, that fight had too many flashbacks.

Least favourite arc: Hidan/Kakazu/Immortals...because the whole arc led to only one major fight (I'm not counting Asuma's), which I was disinterested in...I didn't the personalities/characters of Hidan/Kakazu, nor the setting of the fight... ~
