Back on topic, of course you are right. I mean, seriously, what is up with some people's logic...? Oh, I see. There is no logic in their brains to begin with. For the love of Ino's sexy ass, how in the HELL would Madara's petty little Hashirama DNA experiment grant him as much power as the one Hashirama has himself? That makes no sense!! It's like saying: "Okay, Obito has Madara's eyes, so now he can put an armor made of Susanoo around the Juubi"... Is Facepalm enough for this? I kind of don't think so.
You can have someone's DNA or somehow copy his or her techniques, but unless you aim to surpass them on your own way or you get their personal training and tips, you won't be able to have the same skills and power. That is, if you even CAN have the SAME techniques. I get that so far we haven't seen much of Madara's Mokuton to compare it to Hashirama's... But from what we DID see, we are able to tell the difference of levels. And if what Hashirama did on last Manga was Sage Mode (I think it is, because Senpou means Hermit Arts or Sage Tech), then that makes it even clearer.
Madara's talent comes from his eyes. He's trying to play God, trying to be like the Sage of The Six Paths (so is Obito in a way), he thinks having only Hashirama's DNA (which can be considered as the Senju Clan's most precious DNA) grants him enough "life force" or "vital power" to use the Sage's Power as soon as he seals the Juubi inside him, but he's wrong. The Sage of Six Path's Vital Power didn't come from neither DNA nor the Juubi itself. The Sage was born with it and it came from his own body, it was his own "flame of life".
If it had been possible for ANYBODY to be a second Sage of the Six Paths, then his Sons would have been the right examples. But none of them could, because they were already divided in two. So what, DNA from a far, incredibly far relative from the Sage and a powerful EMS/Rinnegan already make you the Sage's Reincarnation? Please. Gods are Gods. Humans are Humans. Madara can never be more than Hashirama, despite anything he tries. That's the end of it.
