He was sacrificed by Kishi after he knocked up Kurenai. Kishi is a virgin and a hater on all who have game.
Plus the guy he was fighting was almost impossible to kill unless you knew his powers which nobody did until Asuma fought him.

It's not just against Madara. Since the start of the war, he only used the same moves we already knew besides lightning transmission when he is known to possess thousand techniques. Even the time we had to see the rampage was cut off by Kishimoto *sigh*

I mean it is a god like war he was up against bijuu's and etc.. I doubt petty jutsu from his arsenal is more useful than kamui. I rather bet my chances on a kamui then waste my chakra on some raiton technique in such a deadly war.

1. Died young
2. Aids
3. Probably stop training because there wasn't any need
4. Became Aubu so young he probably didn't have a elite teacher to focus on him, his dad probably was to busy to teach itachi because he had to focus on leading the clan.

WRONG Fugaku taught Itachi everything he knew except for MS techniques. Itachi was the Future of the Uchiha clan, that was his father main goal. Itachi was the prodigy that supposed to lead the coup against the village.
