I understand what you mean. I though you were stating that hiruzen was never god of shinbi, out of some strong love for hashirama.

But I agree, I only believe hiruzen to be God of Shiobi when he was in his prime.

Which is why orochimaru and Suigetsu could still call hashirama god of shinobi. Becuase he died in his prime, so when resurrected he was still in his God of shinobi Prime.

I know hiruzen no longer exist in the state, but he did once before.

ACtually that is where your wrong. You have to notice that SUIGETSU.... someone who is not even from konoha knows that Hashirama was called the God of Shinobi not Hiruzen.

Problem with what you said is the matter of fact that we don't know when Hashirama's prime was.. You can't be in your prime when your a grandpa.. that is literally impossible. Him being a grandpa should already give us the hint that he was past his prime.

And also we are then forgetting the fact that later on people started to consider Hashirama a fairy tale when they heard of his power. Basically by Hiruzen's time Hashirama was regarded as a Fairy tale. And the difference between the hype of Hiruzen and the other Shinobi no Kami is this:

2 were God of Shinobi till their deaths

1 was once hailed as the god of shinobi during a certain period of his life time (we don't know if that was his prime or w.e)

But if your were once called the god of shinobi then you should still be called the god of shinobi, but he wasn't. For him it showed that he was very strong in one point of his life time.. For Hashirama and Rikudou it represents something differently, you have to remember both of those are "father-like" figures to them.

You dont know that Sugetsu doesnt know hiruzen was once known as god of shinobi, Hiruzen was a God of Shinobi in his prime becuase of his strength he was far past his prime when he died, so why would anyone still call him the god when someone still worthy of the title was standing there as well.

Just becuase Hashirama was a grandfather doesnt mean he wasnt in his prime. You dont know how old he was when he died. Jiraiya was 59 when he died and he was still considered to be in his prime.

Orochimaru and tsunade are both in there 50's but its safe to safe they are still in there prime. There is no correlation between being a grandpa and being in your prime.

Hashirama died in his prime, which is why he is still on the battlefield using sage mode and spamming clones, becuase he still has the chakra levels to do so.
