Hiruzen (God of shinobi) told Hashirama (God of shinobi) that he believed hashirama to be weaker than their oppenent, and hiruzen didnt even include himself in the statement as tobirama did.
Hashirama just accepted it and got obliterated in the next panel (I know it was a clone, just stating how bad it made him look).lol
While hiruzen wasnt even shown getting destroyed, which made it worst becuase hiruzen was right beside them, yet the only twon obliterated were the senju brothers.lol
For all we know hiruzen is sitting there chillian in a lawn chair with a glass of ice tea, laughing in his head and thinking "There's a reason I was a God of shinobi longer than you sensei."

It was more so his age that made people favor orochimaru, more than his skills as a shinobi.

Minato and Hiruzen never admitted someone superior to them. Even when Hiruzen planned to fight those 20 elite ninja alone he still stated that he would be fine becuase he was the strongest. When he fought the first and second, he instructed them to get ready for their defeat, becuase he was confident that he was stronger.
Minato stated tobi's s/t was superior but never admitted to be weaker than him.
I take nothing away from hashirama, becuase he is a great character, but what he did in the last chapter was far from BadAss!
Minato has been more consistent with the badassery.

Sadly according to the manga hes wasn't the most loved Hokage.. but Hashirama was. X_X. When you have the whole country and its leaders your ex-enemies wanting you to become Hokage.. you know your loved.

Highly false on your preception. Hiruzen never stated he could defeat those ninja. And he stated he was the strongest one out of the kids. Since Tobirama was the Hokage he couldn't be allowed to go there and face them. He stated he had the best chances out of the kids because he was the stronger one.

I understand what you mean. I though you were stating that hiruzen was never god of shinbi, out of some strong love for hashirama.
But I agree, I only believe hiruzen to be God of Shiobi when he was in his prime.
Which is why orochimaru and Suigetsu could still call hashirama god of shinobi. Becuase he died in his prime, so when resurrected he was still in his God of shinobi Prime.
I know hiruzen no longer exist in the state, but he did once before.
