Looks: Garp is a tall, tanned, broad-chested, muscular old man who is bearded and has a scar on his left eye. When he was younger, twenty-four years ago, Garp's hair and goatee were still black, with his sideburns beginning to whiten. He also wore a much darker double breasted suit with a white shirt and a red tie, but he already had the scar above his left eye.
When he was a child and a very young Shinobi, Garp greatly resembled his father, although he was apparently more muscular than him. As a child, he wore a tropical-like button shirt with shorts. He is seen wielding a pipe staff and carrying a treasure chest while riding a tiger he tamed. It is unknown when Garp got his scar on his left eye, but he already had it in his childhood days.

Personality:
Garp is a very loyal and trustworthy man thay takes his job as a shinobi very seriously. Everyone in the village respects him and he tries his best to help out as much as possible. Garp would do anything his Amekage ask of him and he would die for him. Garp is the type of person to push others to succeed in life and not throw their lives away. He loves giving advice to kids and encouraging them to join the Amegakure shinobis. One thing that Garp can't handle is traitors, it drives him crazy thinking about it. He would do anything, even if he have to kill them just to make sure the village and it's citizens are safe. One thing that stands out about Garp in kind of a bad way is his hot temper. Sometimes he loses control and needs to be put in line. But over the years, he has became a more calm man.
On his spare time, Garp likes relaxing under trees and reading books while sipping on sake. He loves seeing the ladies swimming in the pool and reminisce of his young days that he refers to as his golden ages. Garp was quite the ladies man and depsite his age, even to this day, women still find him very handsome. Garp is more focused on his duty as a shinobi though. He even likes fishing because it brings back memories of times when his father would take him to the cabin and they would go fishing by a near by lake. It's his way of relieveing stress from his job.

Background Info
History: Garp was born and raised in the village hidden in rain, Amegakure. His parents were both shinobis, but after giving birth to him, his mother retired just so she can be a good mom and be there for her son. His father tried his best to take take of both of them, and he did. Garp learned how to be a shinobi from his father and a lot of lifes lessons from him. His mother taught him rules of life, how to be polite, put others before himself, never turn his back on his friends and family, always be loyal to the village and most importantly, help clean up after his wife makes dinner. Garp entered many tournaments and he dominated, making his family very proud. One of his most defining moments was when he punched someone so hard, that they flew straight into the Amekages box. Ever since he did that in the tournament, he earned the nickname "Garp the Fist". Garp continued to excel as a young shinobi and he began to turn into one heck of a young man.
Years went by and the most tragic thing happened that had a huge impact on Garps life, the death of his father. Garp couldn't handle the lost and he wanted to give up on life. His mother tried her best to keep Garp from doing something that his father wouldn't want him to do. Time went by and Garp understood it was his job now to take care of his mother and make a difference for Amegakure and the shinobi world. He trained day in and day out, blood, sweat and tears and he never one day let anything stop him. To this day, Garp is still training very hard to be the best shinobi possible.
